Leica m + 35mm summilux FLE
... smaller than the 645z, but better quality than anything else that's cheaper. Now if they made a smaller version of the 645, say a mirrorless version, and maybe a pancake lens for it.... :)

Somehow I ordered the A7r and ended up being one of the first recipients in England! I'm using leica mount lenses and canons plus an alpha zeiss 135mm f1.8 - love it! My thoughts are here...scroll down for pics with all these lenses..

I just scrolled through page after page and found it surprising that nobody suggested the leica x1. I tried the x100 and x1 back to back, and have to say I really liked the x1...its got brilliant image quality. While it may be a little slower at autofocusing than an m4/3 camera, it does have a really clever way of enlarging a portion of the image on the back screen when manual focusing, its a much more elegant solution than my k5 or indeed my old gf1 had. Then again, if you are willing to learn how to zone focus, you'll slowly start to move away from autofocus altogether. I tend to use this technique with my 43mm limited and 15mm, two different lenses...same great result.
