Is the aperture on the lens sticking perhaps?

It was a freak vacation accident. Packing up on the last day, taking family shots, loading the car. Happened as I was sitting down. :(

My k7 took a whack from my daughter's old canon g2 whilst both were around my neck. The glass screen to the top lcd cracked. No damage to the lcd itself and the camera itself performs fine. My question to pentaxians is, how much will this ding my resale value? I'm considering an upgrade to the k5 and need all the cash I can scrounge. But if it's a huge markdown I'll just bite the bullet and keep the darn thing.

Where's the red glow coming from? Sunset? I like both images, the color one really captures some interesting light that disappears in the monochrome

I voted for the K7 which I really love. Its about the best handfeel i've had for a camera since my F100.

I like it. I'm not a huge fan of cloning solutions though. Back before digital my instructors harped on composing with your feet. I'm pretty sure a couple of steps to the right and turn a little and you can get those cool posts lined up still and just leave that sighn out of the frame.

Neato... What are you using to light the left picture? Something a little more diffuse would help. And yes it looks a little dark. I love the backlighting on the other.

I used an old sigma 28mm macro on my k10d that practically lived there until my 40 ltd arrived. As it stands I depend on AF a lot. I've just never been very good at focusing manually. Bad astigmatism.

Also, the 40mm is the cheapest of the ltd lenses. Its a great introduction to the magicthat is pentax ltd primes. Plus it lowers the profile of the camera to the point where it's almost coat pocketable.
