Dear fellow Pentaxians!
Does anyone know if the O-ME53 Magnifier Eyecup fits the K-1? There is no information on ricoh-imaging.

Actually... Leica already did this with Leica M Edition 60.
"Unlike other M digital models, the M Edition 60 lacks one significant feature: an LCD screen.
With the M Edition 60, Leica has created a camera that encourages users to focus on photographic fundamentals instead of technical features. As such, the LCD screen on the back of the camera has been replaced by a giant ISO dial, giving the camera a very classic look." Pentax 16-85 in many aspects is very similar to Nikkor 16-85.
Since the MTF charts are provided for Pentax and Nikkor we can compare them. HD PENTAX-DA 16-85mmF3.5-5.6ED DC WR / Standard-Angle Lenses / K-mount Lenses / Lenses / Products | RICOH IMAGING Nikon | Imaging Products | AF-S DX NIKKOR 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR (5.3x)
Pentax MTF looks the same or better, so we can assume that it will perform similar or better.
Photozone.de gave 4 stars out of 5 for Nikkor. Nikkor AF-S DX 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED VR - Review / Test Report - Sample Shots & Verdict
"Verdict
Despite some shortcomings the Nikkor AF-S 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR DX is still one of the best standard zooms available for Nikon crop cameras. It is very sharp throughout the range although there could be a little less field curvature (curved focus field) at 16mm. The level of distortion and lateral CAs is comparatively moderate for such a lens (still a bit high in absolute terms).
Vignetting is generally well controlled except at 16mm @ f/3.5. The rather slow max. aperture may be a bit unfortunate because the achievable bokeh is rather underdeveloped in conventional scenes. If you're after a (relatively) shallow depth-of-field you should also stick to the 85mm setting - the bokeh is rather harsh at 50mm.
The VR II (Vibration Reduction) can help to safe the day in low light situations (at cost of shutter speed) with a "gain" of ~3 f-stops in field conditions. The build quality is on a good level but don't expect professional grade quality. Thanks to AF-S the autfocus is quite fast and virtually silent.
All-in-all a very good lens but not flawless."
All-in-all Pentax 16-85 looks very promising (if quality control issue is resolved).

Thank you, Mistral75.
But anyway, this s*** happens every year. They say something of what we think is a FF camera. And then they release another entry level camera. Which is in some weird and untold ways innovative and have 1000 color variations.
Every year one and the same s***. This is a joke, or mockery, or one of the 1 of April's joke we are all are accustomed to, I dunno how to call it. Wake me up when this sadomasochistic wait is over.

Hello folks!
I've been watching this forum for quite some time. Frankly, two years ago I had nothing to say to this community. But after reading latter users posts I think I have.
First of all, I would like to say how I am waiting for the Pentax-Ricoh FF camera. I guess it wouldn't be named "Pentax" after all. Maybe they'll skip to P-R name or something like that. Hope it will be soon enough, otherwise it would be wise to switch to upcoming Sony FF mirrorless.
Secondly, I'am obsessed with photography from 2002. That was the first time when I laid my hands on father's Leica R4.
Thirdly, I am going to post some reviews of Zeiss ZK, Voigtlander, and Leica lenses (Leitax conversion). These are expensive and all this old-school manual focusing...that's why I think it would be interesting for me to contribute this knowledge to your community. And yes, I don't like auto-focus. It's useful for kids and sports and sometimes wildlife photography. But Pentax SDM is faulty (had 50-135) and (compared to canon) slowly. Most of use is Pentax's in body shake reduction which makes many outstanding and Full Frame (please Pentax!) manual focus lenses shine from it's brighter side.
