Saw this on the Buffalo news a while back and thought it was a great idea. Despite being an overt advertisement for Labatt, the decorated silos really stand out against the older silos and brighten up the waterfront. Being plastic wrapped it's not permanent so it can be undone as needed/required.

Great series and commentary. Looks like the fall colours are coming along. I've travel through Maine on the way to Nova Scotia but usually along the coast or the 95. Looks like a side trip to the western part of the state is in order.

Looks like the fall colours are coming along nicely. I don't see anyone wearing bug nets so that must make the hike even more enjoyable. I guess I'm at that age too, where 10:00 is a late night :). Great to tag along on the hike through your photos.

There is an easy going,, laid back kind of approach and a genuine friendliness in Nova Scotia as well as the other maritime provinces. It's always nice to get back and enjoy life at a slower pace. Thanks for the view and the comment.

Glad I could share a few images of home for you. I am from Bridgewater/Dayspring originally (many, many years ago) and try to get back down at least once or twice a year.
Thanks for viewing and commenting. No matter how many times you visit there is always something new to discover.
Glad you enjoyed the views. I, too, enjoy 'revisiting' places when I look at other people's photos from their trips.
You would really enjoy Cape Breton if you were to visit Nova Scotia. You'd swear you never left home.
Nova Scotia (as well as the other Atlantic Provinces) would be well worth a trip. I also have a 'bucket list' of places I would love to visit.

Was back 'home' recently for a visit.
1. Cape d'Or, located on the shore of the Bay of Fundy. The name is from the early French explorers who saw what they thought was gold gleaming in the cliffs along the shore. The gold turned out to be copper.
2. Lunenburg, located on the western side of Mahone Bay. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995.
3. Many of the buildings in the town of Lunenburg are distinct in their paint/colour schemes.
4. Not far from Lunenburg is the town of Mahone Bay, famous for the three churches which sit side by side. (Anglican, Lutheran and United)
5. Blue Rocks is a small fishing village located outside of Lunenburg. The name is derived from the bluish colour of the rocky shore.

This bird was constantly bringing food for the nestlings and was going from the railing up to the nest under the eaves. Tried to identify it but with no luck.

You have nicely summed up a great deal of my thoughts regarding Pentax and my photography. I went from the Spotmatic F to the K200D and, at present, the K30. It is very much a Nikon-Canon world out there and while it is tempting to take the 'grass is greener' approach, there isn't anything my modest skill(s) can't achieve with the equipment I have.

I have the DA L version, probably the least expensive version, and it has to be one of the best value lens in the Pentax line.

A variety of images, well spotted. There does seem to be a variety of trilliums in your area - I've only been able to come across the white variety. Glad you were able to put up with the biting bugs, the images posted were worth it.

I have the Tamron AF70-300mm F/4-5.6 LD Macro 1:2 but recently picked up the Pentax DA L 55-300mm. The image quality of the Pentax 55-300mm is on par or better than the Tamron. While it lacks the close focussing of the Tamron, it does cover the focal lengths from 55mm and up which makes it a good choice to go with the 18-55mm lens. The gap in the focal lengths 55-70mm with the Tamron was becoming a nuisance.
