Thank you for the answers.
Yes I'd like to support the K1, that's why I need help from forum users.
I'm working on a windows version and will be available soon.

I all,
I've worked on a new release of the popular open source raw developer UFRaw. You can download my version here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/nufraw/
Note: nUFRaw installation will overwrite existing UFRaw installation. To test only the program can be executed from the source directory.
As you can see the main changes are related to the interface but, being a pentaxian, I'd like to extend the support for pentax cameras.
Currently supported models are:
*ist D,DL,DL2,DS
K10D, K20D,K100D, K110D, K200D
K-01
K7, K5, K5II, K5IIs, K3
K30, K50, K500
Kr, Km, Kx
Q, Q7, Q10
645D
To add the support for new model one should simply take a series of image with the various wb settings and put them in a place where I can get them. For advanced user in the sources there's a wb_extract.pl script to make my job and send me the extracted values only.
Clearly any support and note will be appreciated.
Let me know,
Matteo

---------- Post added 09-10-14 at 09:52 AM ---------- It's surely not perfect but made in 3 min using layers and mask:
1) duplicate layer
2) add a white mask on the upper layer
3) paint black on the mask where you want to see the second layer (the strip to correct)
4) retouch colour on the second layer to match the uppetr one
5) retouch the mask (paint white to correct)

The new Sony has very handy feature: in-camera focus limiter. No other brands does it currenlty AFAIK.
For a lot of application would be a killer feature!

This is an example of self-revealing bokeh. I was taking a picture of the gate lock for a documentary work, when this "impressionist" image appers in the viewfinder. Magic 70 limited!

I don't how much it too much for service point of view but personally I consider that if the correction is in range, thus does not exceed the maximum possible value of the camera, is ok.

Quote hadorp. to me is the same. They could make the improve with a minimal effort obtaining a great improve on the audio quality.
This will give a sense to the external mic input.
Canon, with the recently updated 7D, have give a demonstration of what a serious producer should do.

Dear Pentax,
don't you want to give a sense to the K-5 external mic input?
So update the firmware to add:
1) Manual audio level adjustment (3 step 0, -10db, -20db would be enough)
2) 44.1Khz sampling rate.
This would greatly improve the audio quality with a minimal effort.

Can you ask them about the sampling rate and about the automatic level?
To me the low audio quality of the k-5 is primarly due to this two factor, even with a external microphone in.
For example to record music the auto level is terrible because all dynamics are eaten by it.
A firmware upgrade should be enough to improve this way (like Canon have done recently with the 7D).
Don't they plan to do this?

I think that if these real price would be published the k5 would have way more success (the similar nikon 7000 cost a lot more)
