Thanks for the feedback, Pentaxians.
@imaspy...You're right, they are all over the place. I was experimenting with LR, CS6, and Topaz to see what I like. I get to shoot Kitty (the model) again next week so I will definitely heed your advice in post processing. Thanks!

I got a sweet deal on the Topaz software suite. I've been using it combined with Light Room and CS6 but it's not what I expected. It's kind of clunky and I don't like how it takes you out of CS6 everytime one you choose a program (or filter).
Does anyone have any experience with Topaz and has anyone made a switch to another software suite? Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance! :)

I like hearing that someone from the Canikon world has made the switch. Usually it's the other way around in my area. Congrats and enjoy! : )

Hi,
I don't know how many of you K01 users are interested in street photography, but I've just setup a new Pentax K01 Street Photography group on Flickr called "Pentax K-01 Street Photography".
: )
Feel free to join and upload your best street photography pics taken with this awesome camera. http://www.flickr.com/groups/2184993@N23/

Thanks for enlightening me on this. I can think of many situations in the past where the Quick Shift feature could have come in handy. Definitely something to consider. They don't sell the K30/18-135 mm WR with the white body though.

Thanks JinDesu and boriscleto for your responses. I was asking because I'm deciding on whether to get the white K30 with- or without the kit lens. If they are virtually the same, then I can save myself 50 bucks and will get only the white body. Too bad they don't offer the 18-55 mm WR lens as a package.

Can anyone tell me if there's a discernable difference in quality/performance between the 18-55 mm kit lens that came with my KX and the 18-55 mm kit lens that comes with the new K30 or are they virtually the same (other than my kit lens being white in color)?

This is my submission for the "Shadows" photo contest. This was taken on the island of Kauai with my old Pentax Optio 750Z. My 12 year old son was training with his MMA instructor in preparation for a big match. The contest ended up in a draw. Actually, the aperture is F7.2 but there was no selection for it.
