I'm cleaning out the lenses I don't use to make more room for the ones I do. Here's what I'm offering: SMC Pentax A50 f2.0 - Manual Focus. Auto Aperture. K-Mount. Fair condition. Controls are smooth. Aperture is a touch slugish but works and does not affect the exposure. When I bought it the seller said it had a tiny bit of fungus but I haven't seen it. Optically it's fine. With front and rear caps. $12.99 Sigma Mini-Wide II 28 f2.8 - Manual Focus. Auto Aperture. K-Mount. Good condition. Controls are smooth. Aperture is smooth and snappy. This was my "go to" 28 for a long time. It's really a nice lens. I've just got too lazy to swap out a zoom for prime in this range. With front and rear caps. $34.99 Sold JC Penney 28 f2.8 - Manual Focus. Manual Aperture. M42 (screw) mount. Aperture control is smooth. Focus is just a touch tight. Cosmetically Poor Condition. Great lens for when you don't want to take a chance in a dirty situation of damaging a good lens. No caps. $5.99 Sears 28 f2.8 - Manual Focus. Manual Aperture. M42 (screw) mount. Aperture control is smooth. Focus is just a touch tight. Good condition. Has same macro markings as the Sigma Mini-Wide so it may be the same lens. Front and rear caps. $19.99. Vivitar 28 f2.8 Close Focus (RL Edition). Manual Focus. Auto Aperture. K-Mount. Controls are smooth. Aperture is smooth and snappy. Good condition. This is a really nice lens. It gets good reviews in the database. With rear cap only. $39.99 Lenmar 135 f2.8 - Manual focus. Manual aperture. K-Mount. Aperture control is smooth. Focus is a little tight, but usable. Aperture is smooth and snappy. Fair condition. Front and rear caps and rubber hood. $9.99 Kamero 35 f2.8 - Manual Focus. Manual Aperture. M42 (screw) mount. Controls are smooth. Fair condition with just a slight dent in the filter ring. Warning! This lens hits the mirror on a Canon Full Frame when it's focused to infinity resulting in a $400 repair bill. Don't ask me how I know, I just do and I want it out of here! Front cap only. $14.99 Shipping:
Continental US - $10 for first item, $5 for each item after. Or take it all for $150 shipping included.
Rest of North America - $20 for first item, $5 for each item after. Or take it all for $160 shipping included. Returns
No Returns. I tried to list everything as accurately as possible. If you feel I've really misrepresented something then we'll work something out. For the prices I've listed you can't really go wrong though.

California (United States) Item Description Vivitar Series 1 Power Zoom
Unit is like new. Comes with box and manual. Shipping is free in the US, actual cost to Canada or Mexico. Please Note: This flash does not work with a K-01. It works fine on a K10D. I switched from Canon to Pentax 2 years ago. Ergonomically it was easy to get used to the Pentax layout. I am glad though that I didn't sell that much of my Canon equipment because my K10D died a few months ago and I can't afford to replace it right now. I've still got a K-01, but I prefer a DSLR. So I've had to go back to my Canon stuff. It is hard to go back to the Canon way after Pentax. My advice would be that if you don't know whether or not you'll stay with Pentax in the future, then stay with Canon.

Try turning off the image stabilization. My K10D did that and it turned out it was the IS. With IS off it was fine.

Sorry everyone,
I have it. My K10D died so I've been shooting my Canons again until I can save for a proper Pentax. I haven't been on the forum a lot because of this. I totally forgot I had the 50. Let me know who's next and I'll get it sent off ASAP.
Once again, sorry.

For my style of photography I like the high contrast look. Back in the day, since I didn't have a darkroom, I'd shoot Kodak Technical Pan and have it developed normally to get the high contrast I wanted. Now I shoot mostly HDR to get a wide range to start with and then reduce it in post. Now that I have the control I want all the raw material possible to work with.

I have had this kind of opportunity a couple times. I've actually told the person something like: "Wow, that's really nice. I can't take it for that because it's worth more. In fact you can probably get $xxx on ebay for it. Too bad I can't afford that right now. I can give you $yyy for it. It's not what it's worth and I'm sorry. If I were you I'd just sell it on ebay."
Both times I got the item for a what I had, which was a very good deal. And everyone wins. I got a deal, and the seller got more than they had hoped for. In both cases the seller didn't want to deal with ebay. But they were impressed that I was honest with them. In fact, one of them come back with more stuff. And now they're informed. They'll look it up and say "Hey I got this. Ebay says it's worth $200. Want it for $100?" If you have LBA it's great to have others looking for deals for you!

I would never shoot JPEG for images I can't go back and easily get again. There's just too much chance of not getting it right. As for slowing down the group, you'll be more likely to do that trying to get your exposure perfect for the JPEG. As most of the other posters here said, you can just do a quick convert to JPEG when you can get a chance and then really go through your photos later.

How about a Q with a K mount adapter? Then you could use a decently cheap 135 to get a 750 equivalent, or an 80 to get 440. I've got much better results like this than with my 500 mirror on a DSLR. It is kind of hard to use the Q for action shots though until you get used to it.

Some software honors the custom image setting for the DNG preview. So even if you're shooting RAW, your preview will show your image with the custom settings.
