That's quite the $5 score I'd say. Well done. I'm sure you'll love the pics. It has one of the best viewfinders of a camera its size and the lens is as good as the Stylus Infinity and Nikon AF600.

I couldn't find a thread on the UC-1. It's my favorite P&S film camera and I've had one since they first came out in the 90's. Great viewfinder, great lens, small and quiet.

I scanned some 110 shots with an Epson v500 flatbed and while the results weren't great, I'd say they were good so long as you weren't trying to have them digitally reprinted. As a bonus, the v500 is pretty inexpensive. The Coolscan on the other hand, the samples posted above are light years better but it also costs light years more unfortunately.

Hi, just signed up. I started shooting film again in the last 6 months and figured since my UC1 and Spotmatic were geting a lot of action I would join up on the Pentax forums. I'm from Long Beach, CA and majored in fine art/photography WAY BACK in the 90's!!! :eek: Looking forward to participating. :)
