Need help deciding which film camera to keep. ME Super, Super Program, and Program Plus. Which would you keep of the 3 choices? All 3 functions and none have much of any aesthetic flaws, but i would rate the Program Plus condition above the other 2 w/ the Super program coming in last.

Thank you for the tutorial! Just finished up fixing my A50-1.7 lens and the aperture ring is now smooth as butter. Thank god i had a donor lens (A50-2.0). I managed to accomplish all the cautions and errors mentioned in this thread the first time around. Lost the spring, lost the ball bearing, lost the aperture button, A clip and aperture button fell into the abyss, and the list goes on. Fix one problem, another one popped up like a sick joke. I laughed in horror many, many times. Now if i can find the lost parts somewhere on the carpet, i can repair the 2.0 lens. I shouldve vacuumed first had i known of the potential hazards. Would make the easter egg hunt much easier w/o all the crumbs and dog hairs --not to mention my carpet is dark green...(laugh in horror, again).

have all the lenses mentioned above, including m2.0, a2.0, m1.4, m1.7, and a screw mount m1.4 and hands down, the m1.4 produces the best image quality.

i feel it boils down to your photography skills. Personally, the k10d is more than adequate when i started filming with dslr. THere's plenty of features/functions for you to hone your skills before moving up to a higher end dslr.

DealExtreme: $4.04 Cell Battery AG13 LR44 (50-Pack)
not sure if these are the ones you need, but this works for all my pentax cameras (k1000, me super, me, program plus, super program. The one's i've used and tested, they seem to be fully charged and haven't had any problems thus far.

just out of curiosity, but have you checked if your FA50 is focused on a focusing chart? My copy of the FA50 along with my K10D was front focused by about 6mm and it produced images similar to those posted.

i really hope they fix the FF issues. I'm rather disappointed the camera came back in worse focusing issues then before. Only bright side was their servicing dept cleaning the viewfinder of dust.

well my k10d is going back in a 2nd time. All lenses exhibited front focusing problems as well as AF inaccuracies. :(:confused:

is there some sequence i need to follow to keep the adjustments saved for each lens? Do i need to disable and reenable the debug mode each time to validate the adjustment for the lens for the settings not to be carried on to the next? the same adjustments i'm making seems to be applied to every lens i mount on the camera.

Question for those who's had their slr serviced: Did your camera come back out of focus on any of the lenses submitted? 1 of 3 lenses sent in seems to be front focusing. I'm pretty sure i used the focusing chart properly; the lens ff consistently (FA50). How critical is it to have the camera angled at exactly 45degrees? would it affect the focusing outcome if the angle was off a few degrees?

thanks, so i dont need to mess with anything else but the AF test, and for each lens i adjust, it'll automatically save the settings for that lens?

could someone please explain to me how to use this program after it's installed in your camera? what are all the different options and the numbers 0-5? Also, in AF adjust, negative number is to correct backfocus and positive number is to correct front focus? How do you store these settings after? TIA

got my k10d and lenses back today. The revision indeed was changed to 8.1, but tell you the truth, i dont think i've used it long enough to notice any af speed increase. Nonetheless, happy to have it back and can't wait to put it to use again.
