AF Fine Adjustment for Zoom Lenses

What I ment was that you set your target to another fixed distance and get even more variation in "correct" AF adjust setting. near vs far will get you different results

One af adjust setting is not enough for zoom lenses and this new usb gadget from sigma is great because you can set focus parameters on the lens itself.

af adjustment might be perfect at one distance but differ at other or infinity and than come zoom lenses with different adjustments based on focal lengths. there is no one prefect setting

k5 AE-AF lock / 11point vs 77

Link AE to AF works in multi segment metering by giving more weight to the selected focus point. This is up to +- 0.5 EV vs. normal multi metering. So it is not like spot metering.

17 is really useful when you want to go wide, 50-75 range not so important IMO

The good:

Af seems snappier

The bad:

They messed with AF adjustments, so now my Tamron 17-50 needs -10 instead of -5

Would go back to 1.13 if possible

thnx wolfie

not much work really, did it from my couch with a remote :-D
imported the files into LR and only did some sharpening, i found the composition spot on
opened in PS as layers and edited with nik HDR efex (used a preset i liked and did some minor tweaks, warm goldish hdr)
than back in PS i decided its looking to hipster for the subject so it got some nik Color efex, again clicking through until i saw something i liked (old and grainy i guess it was)

all the best
