I was fortunate to find a Voigtlander 125mm f/2.5 APO Lanthar in Pentax K mount in as new condition. This indeed is a special optic and a joy to use.

Yes, I too seem to easily fall into that trap! Finding the right tripod for your type of use can be daunting on the web without being able to do an up and personal inspection. The Sirui tripod that I had was quite stable if not extended too high. The main issue that was an annoyance were the holes in the bottom of the lower legs. Those holes let in water/mud each time that I used it in wet or muddy conditions. Not something that I gave any consideration to when I purchased it, just an FYI . I ultimately applied electrical tape over the holes to prevent having to take it apart and clean it out to prevent the legs from binding.

This is a link to a video that was posted here awhile ago. A rather good explanation of tripod design and use. I am currently using the Kingjoy A86 with my 645Z. It replaced a Sirui of the same size and is very stable. I did retain the Siri ball head K-40X. This is a rather large tripod but it was purchased with the intention of being support for all of my cameras. Of course there are various sizes available from them to meet you needs. As I understand it, this company makes tripods under various names.
Now I realize that tripods are a hot topic, so I am just saying what I found works for me. You Tube |

Interesting photos, and your reference to "Last of The Summer Wine" got my attention! What a fun TV show. I'm anxiously awaiting spring and a nap may be in order here in the mean time ;)

I ordered a Pentax DA645 28-45 lens from Lensrentals. They are an outstanding group to work with. Communication quick and responsive, the lens arrived very quickly and exactly as described. The discount code is a great incentive but their service is even better!
A happy customer, Ray

The fact that you used the M135 F3.5 manual focus lens wide open at F3.5 I think they look good. If you stop the lens down a couple of notches I am sure that you will see better results, although I am surprised how well it did wide open.

A forum member, Ed Hurst, has been using the Pentax 645 lenses with a Fuji GFX100S for a while and has made comments and replies several times about the adapters and his experiences. Checking his posts may give you good information.
Enjoy the new tool, I look forward to seeing what you capture.

I too can recommend the 150, either the A or FA. I tried the FA120 macro and found that I preferred the 150 for portraits.

That has also been my experience. Great people to deal with. I have purchased from them on the web and also visited the store on several occasions.

Looking at the photo that is attached, I believe that the first thing that I would try is to turn the camera upside down and tap on it gently to see if that component would move out of the way. While the camera is still upside down attempt to remove the lens by turning it as though you are attaching it and then attempt to remove. Might be worth a try.
Regards, Ray

Light polution took away my view of the night sky many years ago.
Now sadly no matter which direction that I look all that I can see are the flashing red lights of wind turbines. I'm sure that there are younger people than I who have never experienced the beauty of a crystal clear night sky. Thats a tragedy

It surprises me that this very capable and gently used camera is still available. It really needs to find a good home and shown some love!

A very interesting and informative read! Highly recommended. Now the problem is that I really want this lens to use with my other Limiteds. It appears that once again I am suffering from GAS :)
