All but the shot!

I was using my K10D last weekend at the local Medievil Faire. While shooting the joust, the camera just stopped taking pictures. It will still focus, the battery is full, the card is empty and formatted (tried several), not sure what else could be wrong. It was working...then nothing. I cannot get the mirror to raise either. It make a noise as thoughits trying, but will not raise. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
