+ Hello, I have two K5, bought the first in September 2012 and the second in May 2015. Between the two they add up to 15 thousand shots. For the photography that I do, mainly landscape and some macro, the capabilities of the K5 fully satisfy me. Whenever I travel I carry a Sigma 10-20, a Pentax 17-70, a Tamron 70-300 and in case it rains a Pentax 18-135. I can add a Tamron 90 macro 1: 1. That is my basic equipment and with that I am happy. It is not in my plans to switch to more modern cameras.

Hello friends, tell me I have bought a second hand Tamron SP 90mm f / 2.8 Di Macro. A beast as a macro, an exquisite level of detail, but a problem with AF when the distances are greater than those used in macro. It improves a bit with Live View (set with contrast focus) but in normal AF, fish one in three shots. I have tested it in two K5 and the problem is replicated in both cameras. Any idea or so is Tamron. Thank you

Thanks for your help, the problem was solved by restoring the factory settings from the menu.

Hello friends , I recently joined my arsenal Kanother5 classic . I got it here in my city , Thrift But almost new , Less than 4,000 Shots controlled room the check - shutter count Pentax forums and Newest WHILE my K5 was made in May 2011 the "new" was it in July 2012. What notice is or next , with the same configuration in both chambers of both seteo As the image resolution and RAW + jpg 10 mp with Quality *** ; defraud the same firmware 1.16 , with the same memory card , (when I say Same is the same no 2 equal ) , while the first takes 5 seconds, keeping the black screen , to return the captured image, the second delay Between 8 or 10 Second , during which time appears on the screen hourglass UN . Can you think of anything? Thanks in advance . |

If prices went up here too. my comment is about 4 or 5 years ago.
Today a MX silver with 50 mm 1.7 are asking around $ 300.
And MX Black not available in the internet sales portals of my country.

If history is to tell say that in 1980 I got my first SRL, is a Pentax mount Vivitar XV1, was in service for many years. With a 24mm Hoya, the normal Vivi, a Tokina 35-70 and a Vivitar Series 1 70-210 3.5.
Later a Nikon point and pull one Litte Touch AF 120 Ed.
But K-mount lenses were did not want to miss, then reaches a MX still in use, there came lots of lenses smc A28 2.8; K35 3.5, 50 1.7, K55 1.8; 135 3.5. A MG who got along very well with the 28 and 105 Takumar and Vivitar 28-105.
Then came dabble with AF there are reflex the ZX 5n and MZ3 appeared FA 35 2.0AL FA50 1.7 a FA 28-105, a FA 80 - 320.
In between rangefinders one Zorki 6 and FED 5C with Jupiter 8, Jupiter 12, Industar 50 and Industar 61LD. In addition to venture into the 6x6 one Ikonta 521/16.
Lately and used the MZ3 and MX, I have to reveal the negative to the store and then scan at home.
My gear digital a Pentax K7 and a Canon A590 with CHDK RAW.

Hello people. The question came to mind that I was looking to buy a second body. Here in Buenos Aires this sale a k20 D at about us$ 500 (everything is more expensive over here) But now that the K5 is being overtaken by new models K5II and K5 IIs, suppose that prices of K5come down . So wait and my second body will be the K7. thanks

Can anyone tell me if the K7 sensor is the same as the K20D. It's the same manufacturer? They also have high iso equal in performance.

Thank you again. Use the AF260Sa in K7 and it worked without any problems.
I also tested a AF200S and also got good results.

X mode selecting shutter time is set at 1/180, does the flash will set the aperture, as well in my Mz3?

Anyone know if I can use a Pentax AF 260 Sa flash on a camera K7. My question is whether that flash can cause damage to the camera. Thank you.

Problems with Pentax Digital Camera Utility 4. Deleting the file checkinfo.ini solved the problem . I am using Windows XP SP3.
