Hi guys,

My Latin skills are poor and rusty, so I just need someone to double check on grammar on this for me:

Vita Impavidus

Jah, that would be post. The outside edges were darkened using the burn tool. Right now, I'm shooting in natural mode (K10D) with no in camera tweaks. I do all my adjustments and pp in photoshop.

Well it would be pretty cool to try and hook up for a fun shoot. I'm sure there's lots of tips and tricks to the Pentax cams that we all use on a daily basis and don't really think to share on here.

I'm up for a trip to somewhere this year though.

Thanks for the input everyone. I really appreciate it! Tried to implement as much advice from the last go around and this definitely helps with planning the next batch.

I used the K10D kit lens, because that's all I have right now haha. DA18-55 and DA50-200, for a few of those shots I also set the exposure1/2 step above using the exposure button.

I'd really like to track down even an old manual 50mm and a 100 or 135 prime to play with. But all in due time I guess.

Cheers,

e.

Thanks for the feedback guys... really appreciate it. You're absolutely right though... it was very cold so timespan was short. Will definitely try to work more with eyes next time around.

I got the K10D about a week ago or so and picked up a 50 - 200 DA lens (i wish I would have read this site more before that... ah well)

These are some first attempts at portraits with a bit of PS work.

I'd love to hear some feedback.

Cheers and Happy New Year!

Hi all...

Here's some shots I took today and a few weeks ago in Costa Rica.. I'd love to hear your opinion on them.
I used to be quite heavily into photshop but haven't touched it in forever, so these are kind of the first dabblings back into the camera / PS world.

Cheers,

e.

haha... way to segway off topic!
I don't think that'd be the best idea cuz the adhesive would burn on the headlight and then you'd have more problems then it's worth... look into the hard plastic ones instead.

Those are all awesome ideas... i'm taking a peek at some of those of hard plastic ones. I really like the stock D80 ones.

If you're looking for a bigger sheet, you can find self adhesive (or cling) vinyl in most cities. In calgary there is a place called GE Polymers that carries a ton of different ones. But an easy way to do would be to call one of the local sign makers (they do car wraps and so on) and get some from there.

... or there is always e-bay.

Big hello and a Merry Christmas from a NooB!

I picked up a K10D about a week ago and figured to share a quick ideas that will help protect your LCD...

LCD - Since the K10D doesn't come with a heavy duty cover or anything... and with my luck... I figured it would be a good idea to find a way to protect the screen. I ended up buying a Ipod Touch screen cover (i believe it's self adhesive vinyl) yesterday, trimmed it to fit and installed it on the screen. It's super clear, can't even tell it's there if you install it with some patience.
