not sure about the k30 video, been looking at a lot of footage taken with the k30, and it seems to suffer heavily from artifacts, such as jello vision, and choppy frame rate,... that being said, the photos the k30 takes are amaaaaazzzziiiiinnnnngggg

is there a hack like magic lantern for the pentax k-5, cause it would be really cool to get more options for shooting video. hate being stuck in 25fps

was telling the guy that the a57 is better than a37...i did not buy the sony a57/a37 because it is not waterproof....would have bought the a77 but the jpeg's have a artefacting in them.... so considering the k30, but only if the videoformat is avchd, and it has a flip out screen!!! my fingers are crossed

the pentax software, it seems way to complicated, prefer photoshop,.really dont want to learn any more softwares for the time being( work related issue)... for manual focus, i mostly rely on live view, cause if i rely on what i see in the viewfinder, i get an image which is out of focus..

i did not use the awb for the yellowish image, though the feature seemed to work well, just felt it looked better with the yellow lighting
so there is an issue with the shake reduction system, its one of the main reasons why i bought the kr over the eos 600d,d1500 and eos 60d cause they all seem the have lenses for the stablization....

for autofocus i half press and hold the shutter release button, till it finishes the autofocus process & the images looks in focus in the viewfinder/live view, but when i look at the end result,it does not seem to be in focus.
i was looking into getting a new lens, but there is no way i am gonna spend 400- 600 bucks on one.. its just way too much for a lens,looking at tamron and sigma lenses.

after cleaning the sensor there has been an improvement in the picture quality, but i still have focus issues, using the autofocus and on a tripod.

a big thank you to every one, for all the information, still have some issues with the images quality,.. can any please post more pic taken with the 18-55 kits lens... also will appreciate any pics taken with the pentax f70-200mm f4-5.6 auto and smc 50mmf1.7 manual... i am still having a lot of focus issues, most images look sharp and in focus in the view finder or live view, but when i look at the end result, it seems out of focus. i have cleaned the sensor..
