Mine is also loose. I suspect more than 1mm. This lens has been repaired twice already (once for SDM failure and once for zoom cam failure). Images are not as sharp as those taken with my 50-135. Time for yet another repair or a new lens? What other standard, wide aperture zooms do people have? Which ones would you recommend?

My Metz flashgun has died. I am looking to replace it and I am considering either the Sigma EF-610 DG Super Flash or the Metz Mecablitz 64 AF-1. Anyone had any experience with either of these flashguns? Any other recommendations?

For me it has to be something that wouldn't work in colour - something where the processing to black & white makes the picture.

Thanks. It was unseasonably wet last March in Northern Laos. Pentax kept working though.

Lovely colours and feel to this image. Agree with the previous poster about the branches on the left. The very light area in the sky seems to be lacking detail that you may be able to recover if shot in RAW. Not sure if I have improved it much but here is my version.

Agree with pppppp42 about the background. Nature photography is not one of my specialties, but the bird is small in the frame and the distracting highlight of the reeds is not helping the composition. Need to get closer!
