Several shots with the older Sigma EX DG 24-60 2,8 lens on the K-1. The panorama is cropped from a single image. This lens displays excellent sharpness, but care must be taken when shooting into the light as it is extremely sensitive to flare. Balances nicely on the K-1 body and is very comfortable to use.

Were you able to use the 'A' setting and autofocus with the 20-40 EX DG lens on the K-1? I have the same lens that has some issues and the folks at C.R.I.S told me that the lens was not compatible with the K-1.

I recently purchased a pristine example of the Sigma EX DG 2.8 20-40 pentax mount lens. After receiving the F--- error and having the auto focus shut down the viewfinder and screen when depressing the shutter halfway, I sent the lens off to Sigma America in New York. They sent it back with the message that the lens was "beyond service life".

I then emailed C.R.I.S describing the problem and asking if they could inspect and repair the lens. Their response was that it is not compatible with the K-1 and it's firmware could not be updated.

I have not confirmed this by testing the lens on my K-3 to verify that it works properly. Nor have I tried to use it in full manual mode on the K-1.
