Beautiful shots and cars. That's when real sports cars were being made... and seatbelts were a suggestion... and Iacoca was anti-airbag... and gas was cheap. :)

I used to believe the focusing mechanism scared away birds, so I started using manual focus, nope it was just the sound of my camera lifting. :)
I love the third shot, getting a crab with longer exposure was really cool. I just got the 5IIs a few weeks ago. At the unboxing, I was nervous that I should have stayed with the K7. By the second trip I was in love with the results from the 5IIs.
Thanks both of you.

Thanks Sireddy and don't feel bad. I have that problem with birds. last week I was 15ft from an Egret and when I lifted the camera and started focusing, my phone went off. Bird butt flying away pictures were not that good.
Thanks,
. Reed

Thank you Na, I love taking feathers on the beach.
It could be a shark egg, I never realized how similar the two egg sacks are. Saw a picture where someone held one up to the light, will have to try that next time.
Thanks,
Reed

Thanks Jim, there are so many strange looking things on the beach. These sacks look strange when dried, when fresh they are absolutely freaky. I hope a full size skate washes up this year, would like to get a good picture of one of those, they look even more alien then their egg casings.
Thanks Q4ADV, the beach usually offers great light and interesting subjects.

Zealex,
The Tamron Lens will work on a Pentax Digital SLR Camera. There are also some good deals on used camera bodies and lenses on this forum.
Welcome to the Forums.

Went to Deal beach last night to get some long exposure shots. Those will be posted later. While walking the beach somehow saw a Ghost Crab in the dark. He was so good at posing, I took two shots of him with flash and two long exposure shots of him. Thought he might not be alive but he moved.
First two are flash fired, second two are long exposure.
First shot : ISO100, f2.8, 1/100
Second shot : ISO100, f5.0, 1/100
Third shot : ISO100, f2.8, 13secs
Fourth shot : ISO100, f2.8, 15secs

Some pictures from the beach this past Saturday.
First picture is a self portrait in the reflection of an alien egg sack.
The second two are the egg sack in different perspectives. As a kid I thought these things could move and it freaked me out.
Actually I believe this was a Skate egg sack, but they are pretty alien looking.
The last two are some feathers writing on the beach.
