I have to agree, while the K10D`s AF doesn`t bother my much for everyday shooting, I had to buy an other brands camera for my candid wedding work. The K10D finds focus fast enough, but that little extra time it uses to actually confirm focus was driving me nuts.

Actually, I found my workaround for the K10D`s slightly slow AF on my last job, while the AF-action in it self isn`t that slow, but for some reason the camera has to "think" for a second before it confirms the AF , and let you trip the shutter(in AF-S), so I switched to AF-C, and got just as many sharp shots as with my D70 by tripping the shutter when I saw a sharp image in my viewfinder...

Thanks for your nice comments. :)
Coming from a D70, I`m very happy with the K10D in all aspects, save for the AF-speed, wich was a little better on the Nikon. But I don`t shoot action, so it doesn`t matter much for me.

Thanks guys. I was shooting some landscapes when I saw this guy coming, and having the camera on the tripod, the panning motion got pretty smooth.

LOL, scary? :) It`s my son after some masquerade happening at school. Midways in trying to get the makeup off, I grabbed my camera and fired off a few snaps. :-) Wanted to see how the f/1.4 did wide open.

Yet, SR shure is great!
I have the DA 40, and it stays on my K10D almost all the time, great little lens.
I don`t have any definitive "keepers" shot with it yet, so here`s one using an old 50mm f/1.4 wide open.:D |

So in your opinion 99% of all photographers are cheaters?
I find your kind of attitude towards this very weird(not in any hostile way, just curious), and I can`t think of a single wellknown photographer who operates with these "limitations"...
Wich photographers do you admire?

K100D sold! :p
Thanks for answering Ole
When I reversed the polarity on my flash cable it finally worked.
So it seems it`s sensitive about the polarity, while my other cameras doesn`t care about + and - , they all still work with the reversed cable.
Btw, got K10D today :D

I am.
I`ve had the K100D for a few weeks, and while the image quality is exellent, it`s too slow in use and I`m not comfortable with it`s ergonomics...

Shooting RAW the K100D has quite good dynamic range, according to this test only the Fuji S3Pro has better DR..
Not that I believe every test I read, but I like what I see here..:D

I`m trying to use a studio flash with my K100D, but are unable to trigger it with a regular hotshoe trigger..
No problem with my ME Supers and other cameras.
Known issue or do I need a trigger made especially for Pentax digital?
