Thank you every1. I might endup buying 18-200 Sigma. That seems to have enough good reviews on amazon and even you folks. Thank you again!...I currently have old sigma 18-105 F2.8 but would like a newer lens

Mostly outdoors (I prefer to shoot in early mornings or evenings - no harsh sun)
this lens,where can I find at 250$ range? Thank you!

Wondering,what is a good walkaround lens recommended by the folks here.
Your comments will be reallly helpful. Budget is around 250$. (Don't mind used).

awsome pix:! have a question though:
What settings does one typically use around sunset , to capture the bright hues/colors of the sun while still focussing on a nearby object like kid playing...
I'm using K5 with 28-105 Old Pentax AF lens.

With SXSW,ACL etc.. I've plenty to shoot from. Just getting used to the new cam (moved from Canon world)...

Picked up a used one from Amazon with 12xx shutter actuations for 824$. Dang this one is a keeper.
Migrated from Canikon to Pentax.

Howdy...
I'm new to Pentax k5 world (pentax in general) and recent user of Canon. I migrated to Pentax K5 for some good reasons. (see the small body and ruggedness along with very good reviews). I'm just 24 hrs old in learning the new menu etc...I've one specific question about AF and firmware.
1. Can I not select multiple AF points during the "SEL" AF opertation while focussing? I am able to select ONLY one AF point out of 11. If i select, "AUTO" option in AF - still, I am able to see only 1 "RED" dot instead of all the 11 AF points. Is this normal?
2. How do I find the current version of firmware? I want to see if I can update to latest firrmware.
