I'm using a peak-design slide strap for both K1 or K5IIs but it's not retro styled. I'm happy with it.

I bought it but only because is have been so unsuccessful that the price went low enough, I haven't use it enough since.
That is a similar problem as the FA* 200/4 macro except that the 200 macro was a better lens (the 560 design has an handling issue) but it came on shelves with the worse timing possible. If we see a new "wildlife lens" I think it would be à D-FA*300/2.8 maybe with 1.4x or 1.7x TC but not next year. A 1800$ K3 successor with a brand new AF would be the best indicator for new long lenses to come but right now the targets are landscape and portrait with the K1.

Actually you can:
The whole thing about normal lenses is to get human like perspective at "normal" viewing distance and this "normal" viewing distance is equal to the picture/print diagonal.
sqrt(56²+41.5²) ~ 69.7 (diagonal for 645FF)
sqrt(43.8²+32.8²) ~ 54.7 (diagonal for 645Z sensor)
sqrt(24²+36²) ~ 43.3 (diagonal for FF sensor)
sqrt(23.7²+15.7²) ~ 28.4 (diagonal for APS-C sensor)
sqrt(7.44²+ 5.58²) = 9.3 (diagonal for 1/1.7" Q7/Q-S1 sensor)

I walked to a shop to buy an used DA*55/1.4 for my K1 and found a second hand DFA15-30/2.8, 3 weeks from new and with 1 year of warranty. I don't have a 55 yet.
My first tries with the 15-30 this morning:

The content of this special site should make those thinking Ricoh does not share any info reconsider. I don't see a lot of firms giving as much as Ricoh does in the K-1, special site.

Pentax answer to this question in the announcement, they do target a good contrast and a good bokeh too. The price and the size are the cost trying to shine in both resolution, contrast and rendering.

It is not clear if the focus scale windows have been replaced by a screen or not but with a real s/n on this lens it could be a final design with e-ink. This could add something in the name.

They communicated about having to redefine QC for the DFA* 70-200 to get it right and that delayed them. Everything might be ready to produce those qualitative lenses now. To take the 70-200 as a reference for delay is not pertinent but I suspect you to know it. They might be late again so, Pentax is not for impatients.

I'm on the market for such a lens if it delivers as expected but will probably get the 85 first.
