Manual mode is the exact same :( and i am using Fujifilm 400 speed X-tra Superior film which i am pretty sure is DX coded film. Is there anyway i could maybe check if the meter is broken?

Hey guys
I have recently decided to try a bit of film photography with my grandads P30. Ive got some 400 speed film which i thought would be ok to use in daylight situations, but every time i go out to shoot it gives me an overexposed reading. Ive tried usung both the Program mode on some of the lenses i have and also shooting at f/32 at 1000/1 but i still get an overexposed reading. Is there some way i can change the iso within the camera, ive read the manual but it doesn't seem to help.
Any advise would be great :)
Thanks
Jake
