I have wanted to try out the m 28 3.5. I have used the 2.8 a lot and it's a dog at infinity but pretty damn good clooser in. I wonder if other lenses are like this other than macros.

I already own an s2a, this recent acquisition doesn't have the model after the serial number, but based on the film advance nob I believe that it is also a s2a. If you do use the eye level viewfinder It is quite the arm workout to hold the camera that high.

I'll have the first roll finished today. I cant get the 135mm to stop down and the cameras flacking some foam from some where, but at the price I got everything for I have no complaints.

Maybe buy an inexpensive lens like mentioned above, a manual 28mm would do the job. If money is not an issue buy one of the newer lenses as suggested. If landscapes are going to be your main interest definitely get a decent tripod, mine was about 150$, ( cheap by most people's standards) it is important.

5$ thrift store find, banged up filter ring but the glass looks stellar. It's suprisingly one of the best made lenses I have ever handled. It feels like a million dollars. I can't wait to borrow my girlfriend's adapter and guess I will have to break down and buy a 40-50$ one myself. I'm not sure if it's worth trying to get the camera going or not, it's also a tank. |

I havent posted in a long time, apparently I golf to much. I'm on vacation though and I found this for $60. It is in absolutely perfect condition, but I cant get the film advance to move, I imagine the shutter is frozen but if theres a trick that I dont know of let me know please. |

Keep in mind I have large hands, but yea it's small especially folded up, certainly something that will fit in a good size pocket. It seems like a really nice camera minus the uncertainty of only using zone focusing.

I found a voigtlander vito 2 for 10 bucs at an antique store, it took me awhile to figure out the shutter wouldnt work without film inserted. It seems to work well, but I didn't change the light seals in my hast so the results aught to be interesting at the very least. |

The nikon coolpix A can now be found for around 350 dollars on the used market, i just bought one and it has great IQ and what I assume is the same sensor as the k5/ gr. Something to think about.

My M 85mm has the same. I wonder if this is a common problem for this lens. My copy is usable as long as the subjects not back lit. I've heard here that lens separation is an expensive or difficult fix, but I would be interested in peoples opinion as well.

My lens arrived, the outer box had a significant dent in it. I opened the inner box and everything looked good. The lens seems to be in perfect order. The packaging was pretty week, just a few peices of light packing paper. Any lens I have recieved over the internet ( about 5) have been packaged better. I am relieved the lens wks, i was suspecting the worst.

Yea im in the same boat. Ups ground takes about 6 business days it seems, pretty lame. Usps ground seems to me to be about twice as fast, plus I know about when they will come. I wouldn't imagine it could be that much of a difference in price. My tracking stopped working but in three business days the lens stopped in about six diffrent places. ---------- Post added 01-13-15 at 04:08 AM ---------- I wonder how much cheaper they were able to ship it for than 10.95.
