Industar-50-2 (50mm, f/3.5)

For some reason this lens doesn't go out very often, though I really like it.

I've seen a number of questions, but I don't think I saw an answer, about using film. I have an SV and a P30t that could both do with some fresh air.
But if it has to be digital...

Hello bobartex. Nice to hear from you. NW England is not far from North East Wales :)
I've had my eye on a product called Eye-fi. There are several Wifi SD cards available for PDAs, but they look like they stick out further than a normal SD card - so no good for a camera that won't work unless the door is closed. But the Eye-fi is DESIGNED for use with cameras and has 2Gb flash ram as well. Seems expensive and I haven't seen a UK supplier yet, but time will improve both, I guess.
Go to Eye-Fi Home and click on the 'play' button for a Flash animation where you'll meet Nikki and Tara who like to take lots an' lots of pics and who'll show you how easy it is to use ;)
Happy New Year too all... David N

*ist DL SD card capacity

Hi. I'm fairly new here too. I heard of this upgrade on the *istDL, so went hunting for an upgrade for my Samsung GX-1L (v similar if not the same).
So I'm the proud user of a 2Gb SDHC card. But I actually never filled my 1Gb card and I've come across people who have had SD cards fail. My feeling is therefore that two 1Gb cards are more 'resilient' than one 2Gb card.
Of course, if you've no other use for the 4Gb ... and there may be other little fixes and tweaks in the upgrade that aren't mentioned on the webpage.
Enjoy.

Hi ... Glad to join in this happy band of enthusiasts. May I ramble on a bit by way of introduction?

I've had a Samsung GX-1L for about 18 months, but have been 'into' photography on-and-off since about 1970. The common thread from then, up to my present Pentax SV, is the 'Pentax' M42 mount.

I still like the 'old' ways of doing things, so I have a growing, but not esoteric, collection of film cameras - mostly quirky ones and definitely cheap ones - cameras 'of the people', such as Coronet rather than Leica or Hasselblad.

Since 'graduating' to K-mount, I'm tempted to get an MX as a manual film body. (I have an SF7 with film transport problems, but auto-everything is singularly uninspiring, so no love lost.)

I mainly photograph scenery and railways, but also have an interest in birds and other wildlife.

Regards to all
