I've bought a rocket blower today, I will try it tomorrow night (too late today).

Thank you so much for the EV compensation' tip, in fact indeed in 'M' mode the EV compensation is now set at -3, I have no clue how I got there lol.....

I've spent the whole evening trying to reset it at 0 or a little over 0, I didn't find :(
I also tried online here
EV compensation in 'M' mode on K-r,

the user seems to descibe exactly what I need but I don't get actually what the answer is,.........

Could anyone help me (step by step please lol...) on how to modify the EV compensation in 'M' mode?........

Thank you so much.........

hello everybody :)

I'm having some troubles with my K-r that I have now since Feb-2012,

since last year there have been small black points on all my pictures,

oups since yesterday there are a few more and one of the earliest ones got way bigger, I'll post two pictures here taken with 2 different lenses

horridous black points :o by FabienA380, on Flickr
(with 300mm)

and

horridous black points :o by FabienA380, on Flickr
(500mm)

Also since the other black points appeared and one of them got way bigger, the camera does not react at all as it used to be just before,

before I could take clear pictures of the planes cruising with 1/500 and 200ISO, but since those black points these specifications just return me a totally black picture, I have to reduce to 1/350 and increase the ISO to at least 1600............... pictures are now crappy,.........

what is it and what can I do?...................

Thank you so much................

Thank you all for your answers!!!

I'm now still hesitating and wondering between 3,......

This one from Pentax Pentax SMC DA 18-135mm F/3.5-5.6 ED AL (IF) DC WR Lens 21977 B&H that I would reckon would work on my K-r(?)......,

this one from Sigma Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM Autofocus Zoom Lens 880-109 and this one from Sigma as well Sigma 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro HSM for Pentax K Cameras......

What could be the differences between these last two from Sigma?..... Could it be the sharpness of the picture as mee mentions?....... :)

And for this one (last link), it seems that it is a new lens not available yet, if I eventually chose that one, when could we expect it to be released?.... (a few weeks or more at the end of the year of later?.....)

There is still also this one Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 II DC HSM Lens for Pentax AF 882109 B&H from Sigma.......

These Sigma Lenses mention
"For Pentax K APS-C Cameras Only" or "Note! This lens is only for APS-C / DX sensors (not full frame)." or "Not suitable for 35mm film SLR cameras or for any digital SLR camera with image sensor bigger than APS-C size.", ......would they work on my K-r?.......

Sorry if I am asking stupid questions lol.......

Thank you very much!!!

Kind Regards

Fabien :) :)

Dear All,

I would like now to buy a lens medium range, something like 18-200 or so,

I have found these two
Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 II DC HSM Lens for Pentax AF 882109 B&H 18-200mm, and
Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM Autofocus Zoom Lens 880-109 18-250mm,

would any of these work well on my K-r?.........

Many thanks!

hi bigdavephoto! Thank you for your reply!!

Yes in fact I'm just realising this, excellent!!... You think it could be possible to adapt my K-r on a 8'' telescope (as suggested earlier by Alizarine)?......

So many thanks for all your replies guys!!! :D

I'm a little late, sorry for my delayed reply.... Yes in fact I saw a sign in the window of the shop I was advised about the Sigma, about renting cameras, should be the same for lenses, how does it work?.... Like there must be some kind of insurance for damages, how long could the leasing be for?.......

I think I'm step after step making my mind though, I think I'll buy the 300mm lens zoom, I'll see what I can do with this one, it seems not to be so much bigger than the one I have (55-200).. At least if I still want to go further it will cover the time-gap before the 560mm is released....

Still a question for a newbie loll, what is the best for carrying camera and lenses, is it the best to store-case body and lens separately or is it okay to store in the case a lens mounted on the body?........

Thanks Marc and Alizarine!

Thank you so much as your answers help me heaps know a little more about my possibilities......

Would you guys know or guess what could be the physical size of the forthcoming DA 560mm?...... The Sigma at the shop was looking so huge and long!...... Could the DA 560 maybe be half of the Sigma's size perhaps?.....

And also (so many questions lol) I saw the lens road map (thanks jatrax!!), are there by any chance current rumors on when the DA 560 could be released, or it is just unknown at the moment?.......

I'm also wondering how they are doing these extreme pictures, do they have tripods and which ever zoom and try to shoot the planes just with the camera??..... Seems to be so hard to me?.....

I've just had a look on google at the Pentax X90 hehe I didn't know this model, it seems to be a 26x optical zoom, I've tried to read this thread on another forum but didn't understand a lot lol, how many mm would a 26x match?......

hi calicojack!

Thank you for your answer!

In fact I'm much impressed by Airliners in Flight - ExtremeSpotting.com, I'll try to lead my way to something like that.... Also I'd like to make nice shots of the moon hehe......

I went yesterday to a Photograph Shop at the mall and the guy showed me a "Sigma500mm" that could be mounted on my K-r?.... Little expensive though (1300$ I think) and physically huge, I was thinking of something maybe smaller,....... Could that be a good solution to mount a Sigma zoom on a K-r?......

thank you so much Alizarine for your rapid answer!

I've had a quick look at Pentax DA 50mm, DA 560mm D-FA 645 90mm: CP+ - Pentax Camera News & Rumors - PentaxForums.com, it might be something that could interest me, as I'm still newbie would this one be mountable on my K-r (it says it is a K-mount, does it mean that it goes on any Pentax K-...?.....) (oups sorry if this looks like being stupid questions lol.....) and do you have any idea of when it will be released?.....

hello
my name is Fabien, new on the forum this is my first post,

I'm a very very new user of DSLR as I've only had pointandshoot cameras (always Pentax) since 2005,

I've bought lately the K-r with a lens 55-200mm but I feel I would need/like a much bigger lens... I've tried to find a little online on what Pentax would offer either on shop or online but didn't find much else than the 55-300mm, I'd more like to have/find something like 600mm, up to 1000mm??.......

Thank you very much,....

Fabien :)
