Found a very large mushroom on the ditchbank today, so I rushed home, brabbed my 645D (and K-01), attatched my FA 75, and got there after a quick rain shower. you may notice the raindrops on the bottom of the mushroom.

I think that might have been my last roll, but I need to check my freezer stash to be sure. I got seven rolls of 220 when I bought my first 124G a few years ago (the film alone was worth 2/3 of what I paid) but the last one that I shot (mostly from a balloon trip my wife got me for my birthday last year) was ruined when it fell off it's clip in the developing tank and was in for far longer than it should have been.

I have a non G 124. I recognize the focus falloff from the last shot you posted before I read the text. Its very identifiable as the Yashicamat.

I just received my new to me Helios 44-2 58mm 2.0, and paired it naturally to my K-01. Just tried a few situations today around the raindrops. Excited about the swirly bokeh, and knowing it takes a little effort to get into the ideal swirly situations!

Not trying to keep sharing my cat, LOL, but its a great example of how sharp the FA43 is. Makes me want the other FA limiteds. And this is at a relatively high ISO, At ISO 100, it would have been sharper I believe.

I bought mine with only 300 clicks on it for $190. I consider it a steal. I actually have my second shooter use it at weddings, and after sundown, it really becomes my main camera, due to the 645D topping out at 1600 ISO. I keep the MF for portraits, but the K-01 is spectacular in reception duty with my FA 40 Limited attached.

645z Reviews From Pro Photogs / Architectural & Interiors

I had the same concern with my 645D, but talked with a rep from Peachtree Camera Repair, in Atlanta, and he assured me he could repair the lenses and body in house. He said for example he could replace the shutter, because I was concerned about passing the 50k mark sooner than it has actually happened, and he said he could have it back in a couple of weeks, cost $250 or so. But I haven't had to service it yet, have had it for 11k actuations over two and a half years.

Anyone using Eye-Fi or Flucard on 645Z?

I bought the FlashAir instead of Eyefi. I used it with the 645D for church directories. I had camera in another room, but had to leave both doors open to keep signal going. Also, if it times out, it takes a few minutes to pair again. It is better than shuttling cards back and forth to be able to show the portraits immediately after the session while the next family is being photographed.

I can only view in parallel unfortunately. I find it harder now that I wear contacts full time. How are you exposing and lining up your images for stereo with the K-01? I started with a Stereo Realist until I bought the Fuji W3. Love 3D, hard to make time for it though. Not as much as I would like anyway.

I use a 135 LS which should work the same. I have used it directly connected to a off camera flash or with a set if Quantum radio slaves. I have had problems with the lens syncing with less than brand new PC cords. Any wear in the connector starts missed syncs. But get a new cable and I'm in businessagain.

Bull, yes this is the exact way I have it set up, and have used multiple flash units, each one syncs but syncs too late so the frame is black.

I use the 75 FA 75% of the time for portraits. It has great bokeh and is very sharp in the center. I use the 45 FA four groups. I have others for sparring use including the 135LS which is sharp also, and perfect for single portraits and head and shoulders.

I bought my 645D as well as two FA lenses from Japan. I had good experiences, being able to track the shipments through each stage including customs. I recommend it. I had nearly new items for very reasonable prices.

Pentax 645D and LS lenses

As a 645d user with a 135 LS, I can honestly say the combo works well. I am still mastering the outdoor flash technique I bought it for, but it does work functionally. You set the leaf shutter to whatever speed you want, the camera knows to set it's own shutter to 8. It does know this because the 645d was designed with this lens in mind. So I would say without a doubt the review is definitely wrong in that regard. Plus this lens is very sharp!

Sorry for redundancy. I just love this lens!

That's funny, because like you, I now have an LS lens, a 135, and know it works well. The camera sets its shutter at 1/8th and lets the leaf shutter do its thing in the middle of the focal plane shutter being open. And the lens is very sharp. Can't wait to use it more.

Looks so much like the previous model in most ways physically...I see the two holes presumably for either mic or speaker or both.
