Thanks Docrwm.
I had a look at the article and it is very good. Suprised that the Sigma comes out with a better rating than the Pentax lens. I find generally Pentax lens are more expensive. It seems for top quality the DA* range would be the way to go - but vastly more expensive.

Hi All,
I have recently started doing a lot of photography for roller derby and am investigating what lens to get.
I currently have a 70-300mm sigma. But the f-stop is nothing special so looking for something in the F2.8 range for example.
Just want some advice and opinions on what to get.
Lens I am considering:
Sigma 70-200mm F2.8
Tokina 80-200mm F2.8 - these are hard to find and I am keen to know more about them - ie. manual and auto versions available?
Pentax 50-135mm F2.8 (on the more expensive side, especially the DA*)
Tamron 70-200mm F2.8
And other brands or similar lens I could use?
Also would comparing:
Sigma 17-70mm F2.8
Tamron 24-75mm F2.8
