Sticky: Adapted lenses tested on the Q : the reference thread

As GTM's Computar this is a fixed aperture lens at Q, stop slower though. Size is very tiny, I have to take comparison shot between 5D2+Sigma 150-500 and this set side-by-side. :) I think my battery grip is bigger, ha.

So, two samples. I'm quite satisfied, considering it's... it's.... well the works. :)

Maybe I was too harsh at first. I have to study it little better.

I found my old Canon AE-1 from garage. There were couple of lenses and all of them were stuck, dusty and generally bad shape. Lightly or badly, one I couldn't get to working order. Body is dead meat.

Here's sample of MTO:

Closest focus distance about 20ft, dark and very, very cheap. :)

100% Crop of above

I have adjusted my Q's sharpness so artifacts is little too clearly visible.

Pentax Q and Revuenon 200mm f3,5 M42 To EOS to Q. :)

f3,5; nothing to see here, heh.

f5,6

f8; ok, but not great

Crop of above. Shutter-time was 2sec, so little noise comes from there.

In time, in time... :)

Tamron had hood. Others not.
There's something mystic in that SR system. I'll have to learn it properly. @500mm and Q set to 500m, my images sometimes are twisted. Have to find proper settings.
And yes, it's my fault, the keep rate, not the cameras. :)

Tamron 70-200 f2,8, Tokina 100mm f2,8 and Rikenon 50mm f2.

737 and 319 with Tamron, 717 with Tokina and 340 with Rikenon. Apertures were between 4-5,6.

Squirrel was Sigma @500mm f8.

Yep, keep rate becomes easily Qeep rate. I know. :)

I was at Airport too. Handheld, forgot the monopod.

Stationary target was easier with tripod. Keep rate 50%. :) And that's because that Squirrel left when my timer beeped 12sec.

Nothing Special. Maybe little longer follow before first shot. Slingshots are doomed way before. :)
And don't trust the image that Q gives you after shot, always watch from playback. Somehow preview is always awful.

Maybe monopod could be handy this time?

Never would thought a need of doing that.
:)

I'm little out of stacking, Should I try to take photos from object with different focus or just stack same kind of images over and over again?

Stitching is easy with AutoPano. It finds, stitches horizontally and vertically it self. Then it renders it so, that different exposures comes unite whit out clear edges.

BTW, I made a new better sharpened picture from that yesterday. Got better.

Awesome photo, lens and photographer. You drive at wrong side of the road-> so your moon is wrong also. :) :)
Just kidding.

I just tried to take photo again, but it's over -20 celsius below freezing now. My finger's just didn't cope it. Metal body was so cold...

Moon + Q tonight. Veeeery tiny shake, because of hand-held but leaning to wall. Whole frame with Sigma 150-500 @f8, ISO320.

Today from tripod. Hard to focus, but ok. Lens sweet spot is @8. I'm quite happy for results. Lot's of CA with TC, but that's more than normal.

1st: Reference shot with 5D2 and 28mm Rikenon.
2nd: 2750mm, ISO125, f8
3rd: Crop of above.
4th: 2750mm x 1,7TC, ISO125, f8(effective aperture is something else)
5th: Crop of above
6th: Background from 1st image with ~4000mm f8
