But if you use that DA*300, will the camera reconise its a DA and then like Nikon automaticly crop it ?
What about the new 560mm, its a DA too, DA mean made for APS-C only ...

Or you take the big mirrors and prism off and you have an EVF ... but we don't want that either ... So it will have to be a compromise between a big or small body and a big or small finder

Amazing big viewfinder and small body don't really go together ... I much prefre a 100% X1 (or 0.90) viewfinder and a body as big as a 5D , than a small body you have to hold with a tweezers and an other X0.70 viewfinder.
A twisty screen could be a first on an FF no ?

I know Pentax say they want to be different ... but dont be. There is an off market for one more brand. And I am sure a lot of Cono / Nikon user still would like to go back to Pentax.
I want a 5D like with the Pentax feeling. The Pentax prime lense !

if Pentax dich the K mount for an upcoming FF ... well the market value of the old 35mm lenses (DAF, FA, A, ...) and the new DA will be nothing ! Nearly Unsellable

Me too, its great to have a light camera, but there is some limits ... and the limited are there for that !
Who has hold a 7D ? The camera is solidly in your hand. Now its probably a bit big, but the extra large place for the thumb and tick deep grip is a real confort a take away the weight of the camera.
I am holding my K5 by the end of my fingers like pinching it !

Why is Pentax specialy want to have the smallest system on the market ?
I did not buy Pentax for its size when I started wit the K200 (but surely for it construction and waeter sealing), and am now frustrate by the size of the K5 ...

It's only the beginning, in 5 years time, FFs will be cheaper and way better and probably lighter than they are now.
Remember when Canon launch is first "cheap" d-slr, it opened a new world for peaple that want to upgrade from they more compact systeme but could not afford a professional camera
