How about strapping a jet pack onto his back?
I almost aborted working on this image when I saw yours - great interpretation.

Final effort:

Bike B&W2 by bossa*, on Flickr

After noticing that there was more detail in the figure in one of my efforts I decided to do a rough composite of the figure out of one into the other shot to see how it looked. It's pretty rough as I didn't have time to refine the outline etc. It doesn't look right and there's that outline on the shoulders too.. worth a look though. I tried using grain to unify the look but it really needs a higher res and less noisy picture to make it work.

Great work Simon - cracking mood.

They are Maine Coons - Scottish cats would likely rip your arm off as opposed to cuddling in like these two. Both boys from the same litter. Enjoying these portraits of yours - beautiful work from start to finish.

One from this mornings waterfall scramble. More water would have been nice.

Nice idea, thank you for sharing it. :)

I purchased a $90 Kodak scanner and to my dismay, it does not pick up on the super dark grays/blacks in my photos if it is at the edge, it just crops it out. Kind of a problem since I shoot black and white...

I will definitely try this out sometime.

Clever. Simple clever!

I came up with a really convoluted way of doing this which involved... Well, scratching the negatives basically... I'll try this when I have the time.

Love shooting into the sun with my K-5:

And get some pretty good results with a cheap macro set-up as well using my FA 50/1.5 reversed with some extension tubes (I am certainly no macro photography guy, but it is fun!)
