PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
Pentax FA 31 in Silver Asking Price
700.00 USD Item Location
Moscow (Russia) Item Description
Hey guys, hope is well.
I am listing my beloved Pentax FA 31 in silver. This lens truly is a stunner!!! i'm not going to describe it as you know it all already.
Just want to point out that this particular copy is mint. You'd be hard pressed to tell it from brand new. Everything works as it should, no problems whatsoever. The only thing that is missing is the rear cap and i'm happy to replace it with good old Helios cap (from Russia with love).
My copy is so sharp it's not even funny!!!
I am attaching a few images taken with this particular lens and will be uploading the images of the lens itself a bit later as i no longer have a camera.
Lens comes with box, pouch, some paperwork.
Please do not hesitate to contact me in regards to the purchase. I am happy to ship worldwide. Drop me a line and we will work out a way to get this gem to wherever is that you are.
P. S. found the rear cap. All cool bananas now)
P. P. S. i am open to reasonable offers. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?
No Are you selling or trading this item?

I find the focusing speed of the 35 much faster but accuracy is where it lacks. The 31 I’ve got needed +2 correction on my K-1 but once dialed in it is spot on.

more from the 31
i find it to be very comfortable as a walkaround lens despite its focal length |

Thanks a lot. The light coming through that window was just perfect.
I’ve got more photos if the OP is still not convinced one way or the other.

They are different in both ways. Sigma focuses quicker and more precise. The weight is not so much an issue for me. The results is where the difference is really noticeable. At least for me. The sigma shots are cleaner, more polished and dare i say optimized. Imagine a new pair of shoes just out of the shop. Nice and shiny. Those are the images from sigma. And now imagine a worn pair. Not rubbish but worn with those beautiful wrinkles formed that tell you they have seen stuff and they have been through stuff. Those are the images from the 31.

I have got both lenses. Didn’t plan on buying the 35 but it was sold together with the K-1 I picked up for a price so funny it is not even fair. Anyways, to me they are two completely different animals. True, 35 is big and heavy but I’ve got no concerns about the build quality. It focuses instantly on my K-1. And it does that without making any sound. The images I get from it are really clean even at high iso. I mean reaaaaaaaaly clean. Must be the new coatings and stuff as I am in no way a tech savvy guy. So I guess it kinda boils down to what is it you’re after in your images. I will upload a few samples from both lenses shortly.

My all time favourite would be Filles En Eguilles by Serge Lutens. That scent is just out of this world. Subjective of course)

Now we are heading for disaster!!!
See, I don’t mind expressing yourself in any way, provided you are not harming anyone. And props to these guys they are indeed very creative. I was looking through the pictures this morning while having my breakfast. Scroll to photo number 7 on the series. They are sitting in front of the pine trees and a red brick wall (which is Kremlin). One should see parts of lettering and stars on either side of these guys. Those are the names of the cities that took the most hit during WW2. And the spot where they are sitting is considered to be a tomb stone, a tragic memorial. You do not sit on it, you do not stand on it, you do not lay on it. You only lay flowers on it and kneel before it.
Attracting attention to gay rights by disrespecting other culture is not the way to go in my books.
Should I get offended? I probably should cause my family bled for their right to express themselves and now they sit where they really shouldn’t be. Will I? No. Cause they probably have no idea. But I think they should have looked into it beforehand.

well that's it for us(((
we fought till the end though and we are pretty excited as a nation cause to be honest our team is pretty crap)))
on a side note: we, as in russia, needed this world cup. with all the political crap going around we, the people, just wanted the rest of the world to see we are not hostile but hospitable.
and i think we have succeeded.
