correct i just wanted to make sure that the auto feature didnt render it incompatible with my k1000.

thanks it says it comes with a uv filter and a sigma clip on lens hood. i am also open to suggestions seeing as im not very knowledgeable on good glass. i am currently trolling ebay to see what they have.

i also just noticed how small the focusing ring is haha if anyone has any suggestions for nice budget friendly f2.8 24mm or 28mm lenses i am listening:lol:.

Sigma "A" mount lens compatibility question

Hi everybody i have not been shooting as much as i would like to have been shooting lately but i am going to start buying film again and bringing my k1000 out more. i have a couple of quick questions though because i would like to pick up some new glass since all i have is my 50mm f2 m lens. i have set my sight on a sigma super-wide 2 autofocus lens. I just want to make sure that this lens will work with my k1000. it says it is an "A" mount lens but can anyone confirm that this will be compatible with my k mount body? thanks in advance.

im going to be getting either a bauer vivitar 28mm or a 28mm off of ebay. the bauer one is priced cheaper and i understand its fully plastic but will i see much different picture quality as opposed to older vivitar manufacturers' ?

what would you consider pocket change for one of these?
looks like im going to try and pick up a vivitar 28mm f2.8 wide angle multicoated. going to do a little homework on it before i pull the trigger though.

its a hobby but i really do enjoy it. and as far as processing goes i was planning on trying what other people have seemed to do is where you take it to walmart lol this sounds bad but you take it there and they send it to fuji labs i believe and you just need to make sure you mark what you want on the envelope clearly.

yes it is that model. i believe when i was researching i read it was the one they made before they started being made somewhere else in mainland china or something along those lines. but i just am under the conception that its a better build quality than the latter ones. i am still trying to figure out if it would be a good idea to just get it serviced and some nice new glass.

any suggestions on where to take it? i live in southern california but i could probably google it and see if one is in my area

i wanted to go with a mamiya 645 1000s with the 120 back i believe and the waist level finder. ive been trying to do my homework and that seems like a good setup from what ive read

i currently have a very nice k1000 and 50mm f2 m-lens and aside from one of the magnets in the light meter not working it is pretty mint. i am considering either just getting a nice wide angle lens and a bunch of film or trying to sell my k1000 on here after i donate or on ebay and then either see if i can pick up a mamiya 645 1000s on ebay or somethin or if there are any cheap medium formats on here.

now i guess my question is for me, a high school senior who loves film photography/photo and video in general, would i see much of a change? i feel like i should just get a wide angle lens but i also feel like after that i will still want a medium format camera

is it harder to shoot medium format? since my light meter doesnt really work on my k1000 i just eyeball everything and guess what my shutter speed and aperture should be and i think ive take a couple decent pics?

anyways if anybody can leave any feedback on this topic or medium format thatd be great thanks in advance!

hi i live in california and i have a plethora of local places i can go to for developing my film to cd like walgreens, target, walmart, and costco as well as sams club but those are across town and i usually only go there once a week.

my question is where would be my best bet to take some of my rolls that i shot over spring break? i mainly want to know if anyone knows which offers the best quality scans that are going to be on the disc? whatre your guys experiences with this? i hear that places like target and walgreens etc dont give you the best scans because they want you to get prints there and not take home the cd and do your own prints.

i think when i go tomorrow to drop off the film im going to ask the person working there either target or walgreens what the resolution of the scans are, and maybe if i can get them to do the best scans possible for the same price if thats even possible haha

but ya if you can let me know where youve had good experiences getting your film developed to a CD please let me know. thanks !

hi ive asked about this a little before but id like to get down to the bottom of this problem

well as soon as i take my lens cap off my light meter goes immediately all the way up to + and stays there
now ive heard that it uses two magnets so one might not be working? how would i fix this or what would be causing this problem?

also a random question about kodak ultramax 400. in this web post this person shoots with this at different iso's besides whats on the film's box. is it generally ok to do this with all cameras? i know not every film and camera is the same but i was wondering if the same effect would be experienced with my camera as well. and i just got 4 rolls of unexpired kodak ultramax 400 iso for $6.99

like usual all help is greatly appreciated!

haha no problem! im planning on doing the exact same process for developing. do you have a local store or where do you go?. i think i might go back to walgreens and maybe pick up some film there.

and my light meter on my k1000 seems to still be stuck all the way on +. how hard is it to judge exposure and what not? i kind of want to go out and just shoot without the light meter but i dont want to be wasting my film.
