Thank you.. it comes only with a single battery, no charger box or anything. Still, I think it's a good deal. They said if I am not happy with the shutter count, I can return it. Guess I may go on and get the 70-200 and flip my sigma. This way I have full weather sealed rig.

Trust me I want to so bad, but reality is I just can't. I am a seasonal worker with winter coming. Honestly, I wish someone would buy it so I don't have to see it sitting there lol.

Code will not work. My camera ate it tonight at the football game. Even with the code I really shouldn't be digging another debt hole but it is the only hobby I have. Been taking pictures of these kids since 8u and they are now sophomores (high school but kids I coached along with my son are sophomores). Like many of you replying I get the unexpected financial crap, I wasn't expecting cancer, that stuff will drive you to nearly financial ruin, even with "good insurance". If anyone has good codes please post.

So, I started out shooting youth and middle school football with my K70 using a DA 50-135. I did have to hack it due to the failed hsm in the lens. It for me was plenty fast on focus at that age group. When my kid hit the 8th grade, I scored what I thought was going to be a great lens without doing any DD. My 50-135 was dropped and busted so I replaced it with the sigma 70-200 2.8 II ex hsm macro. It did ok, not great but ok. One of my main problems now that we are in high school is dealing with light. This lens hunts on AF and drives me crazy when lighting is not optimal. I feel it is time to move on and am considering the 2 lenses in the subject line. Anyone have any experience with both? I do plan on upgrading my K70 to the K3iii. I do understand that the 80-200 does not provide weather sealing which was why I went with pentax to begin with. I would however give that up if that lens would be better suited for shooting football. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Forgive my ignorance, this would extend the hood out further? The flare is that bad? I have a couple of years till he plays stadium ball, majority of the games will be early evening. With that said I do have plans on getting the D FA 70-200. And again I waiting to see what the new camera will be when/if it is released. I thought this was too good of a deal to pass up.

Dave I do not, never used one. Main reason I ever got a camera (K10D) was to take pictures of my kids. I then got into wildlife (took camera when I guided duck hunting in the white river bottoms). Now it's pretty much all about my son's football. Just keeping fingers crossed on the newest release, hopefully this summer. I currently have a K70.

I hope so. Keeping fingers crossed it is at least the II but if not no big deal. Honestly I will end up getting the pentax D FA 70-200 and probably sell this one if it is a good copy. I really need the weather sealing due o the fact that I am rough and careless with stuff. Main reason I got pentax to start off with way back when. It will be pretty much football and hunting (wildlife) both of which will be in any and all elements.

I believe it is this one:
70-200mm F2.8 EX DG Macro (HSM) - HSM, macro feature, minimum focus distance reduced to 1m (2006)
She did say it said macro but I do not recall her saying HSM II
Hopefully it will work out. I need to do some reading up. I am leaning twords a K3 II body to go with my K70. Rather than switching between lenses I can just grab and shoot

I just got off the phone with the young lady and she agreed to keep the money in her paypal account till I have tried it and confirmed it does work. If it doesn't I will send it back. I did offer to it half the cost on the lens and return it. In other words she refund me 125 and she gets the lens back. She said to not worry it will be full refund. I will pay the shipping both ways if that is the case. So I am going for it.

So obviously the lens doesn't match the box. This is the Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG APO HSM Macro. Keeping fingers crossed this thing works out

I stand corrected. So how dependable are these af motors and how fast are they? Sigma has sports lenses but never made them for pentax. I want to use it to shoot 7/8 grade football. My DA 50-135 is a lot faster now that I converted it.

Correct me if I am wrong. This lens does not have a drive motor, I assume focus is screwdrive. With that said I called Sigma today and they said that lens is not serviceable. It almost sounded as if any Sigma lens that is k mount is no longer under warranty. I asked if I purchased a new unused lens from like adorama would it be under warranty. I was advised it would not. So on my end it is a gamble. She was asking 350 for it but that was too much of a sting for me to handle. I offered $250.

I am currently looking at purchasing this lens. Found a seller that got deceived into buying it cause it had a Canon lens cap on it. When she received it she then discovered it was for pentax. Assuming it is a good sample, is it worth $250? Thinking hard on pulling the trigger on it.

I give!! Throwing in the proverbial towel! I read every single page, tried every which way possible. I can not get my K10D into debug mode to save my life! 6.5 hours of my life gone!! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Currently I have ver. 1.30 on the camera. The lens is the 50-135.
2/22 Figured it out!! Updated to 1.31 and by dumb luck I did it!

Too bad they are not looking for field reps. I give my gear a beating in hunting conditions and everyone keeps asking me what I shoot with. I have probably sold over 100 pentax cameras in the last year and a half lol. Rain sleet snow or shine I take the old K10 on every single hunting trip, duck or deer hunting. When my DA* is attached I have no problem getting it muddy or wet and people freak out. If the hunting hobby did not dominate the photo hobby I would have a K5 in a heart beat. But to not hijack the thread I could not do PR work. Here is a video I shot at the end of the season. You will see my camera haning in the tree.

Answered you in pm and the answer to all that may wonder, it does not come with it. I quess Sandisk thinks everyone is up to date and do not require it or they want to make more money by selling them seperate. My computers require the reader as do most of my friends. It does come with the recovery mini CD software. I have seen a couple of people remove it from the package and sell it seperate but I am not doing that. What is in the box is what you get.
