So I dropped my 50-135. Now it sounds like a rainmaker. Well not quite but the a lens inside has dislodged and it looks like it may be chipped.
Can this be fixed? Who and where do you send the lens to have glass replaced? Is it worth it?
The SDM seems to be working still. Perhaps it can serve as spares for someone who has SDM issues. Please let me know your thoughts.

During August and September the West Coast National Park in South Africa bursts into a vast array of colour as Spring brings with it a landscape of flowering fynbos. Stunning part of a beautiful country. Used a Lee .9 Hard grad filter and Lightroom for adjustments.

I took this photo in Langebaan on the west coast of South Africa. It is a magic location and very popular with tourists. I spotted this shipwreck a while back and it is only a 5 minute drive away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre. Not many people are aware of it but I was so happy to photograph it. I made use of a Lee Filters 0.9 ND filter + 0.9 ND Grad to get the milky effect on the water. Setting on my K-5 were: ISO 100, 8secs, f/16 with a 18mm focal length. Really hope it stands a chance!

Got my lens today! I have never heard a supersonic zoom noise... it is as quiet as a mouse..and just makes a little wzzzz noise.... you really have to listen for it... I'll review and post photo's soon! I'm SO happy!

I'm not sure how many of you saw the post I posted yesterday but Amazon had a blip and a bunch of us managed to pick up the Pentax DA* 300 f/4 for £585.00 inlcuding postage. The price is now back up to £987. That price clinched the deal for me and I'm sure I'll be as happy as can be when my DA300 arrives. :-)

Amazon will not handle Grey Imports... if they ship and sell it, it will be under European Guarantee. They have a very strict international trade policy. That's why US customers can't buy on Amazon UK and visa vera.
