Hello again, everyone! Quick update - Ricoh has gotten back to us, and has said we can use samples up to 2000px on the longest side. We've still done processing through ACR to full-size JPEGs, then resampled them down to 2000px for the longest side in Photoshop with Bicubic (sharper).
Enjoy!

Wayfarer
Dark Point Dunes, NSW Australia.
Pentax 645Z + DA25mm
My buddy and myself recently went on a surfing / photo adventure down south to explore some interesting place’s and to surf some new surf breaks. The first day of the trip late in the afternoon we arrived at Dark Point Dunes, Just north of Hawksnest NSW. There had been quite server weather for the area 1 week prior to our arrival and it was very apparent that storms were still hanging around. We got a break in the rain right at sunset and we decided to go trekking over about 5-6 huge sand dunes to find some untouched areas to photograph. As soon as we got to a good spot to shoot, the weather seemed to be circling us and produced some very moody and interesting cloud formations. I asked my buddy to walk up over the ridge behind us to check what the weather was doing. He got to the top and yelled “ yeppp we better get going, a wall of water is headed our way” I finished getting my shots , chucked my gear into my new Vanguard Sedona 45 Camera bag and we started bolting back to the truck… We got about halfway back to the Land Cruiser and it caught up to us, even running at full pelt we couldn’t get away from this cloud front. Running through soft and very steep sand hills with a lot of heavy Medium Format gear and one very sturdy tripod sure gave me a workout. My lungs and airway burnt from the massive sprint back, and it completely exhausted me. We made it back and my gear was dry and untouched thanks to the quality Sedona 45 bag. This was the last shot I got before we had to run.
Focus stacked for Depth of Field.
Thanks for looking, Tom

Not long ago, people were crying that there was no upgrade path from the Pentax APS-C cameras (the 645Z notwithstanding). Now there looks as though there will be a full-frame camera and lenses - i.e. an upgrade similar to Canikon - people are complaining about the price. Give me strength!

Since I can't adequately explain how I feel about this new camera, I thought I might do an homage to the joy a child feels when they get something they desperately wanted and were denied for so long.
The simple joy.

As I said, the problem with that assertion is that other FF lenses also have relatively high levels of vignetting, even in excess of 1EV. For example, -1.1EV for the $10500 Canon 400mm f/2.8 L IS II: Tests and reviews for the lens Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II USM - DxOMark
Or for the Nikkor 500mm f/4: Tests and reviews for the lens Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/4G ED VR - DxOMark
And you can find many other examples, with at least 1EV of vignetting. Other sites measured higher levels (different methodology?), e.g. 1.6EV for the Canon 500mm f/4 IS II: Canon EF 500mm f/4L IS II USM Lens Review
Neither Canon nor Nikon thought they should "fix" the vignetting before announcing those lenses as "full frame". Nobody would dare to call those lenses APS-C only.
That's why I'm saying, the conclusion was hasty and uninformed. Yet Pentaxforums would rather stand behind it instead of making a correction. :(
Keep in mind I'm not saying this is a FF lens. It could very well be, "just in case" is IMO a good reason in this case (expensive, specialized lens which probably they don't want to replace soon). Or its observed apparent compatibility might be a coincidence.
