Thanks :) yep Tour de France is in summer and they go till the bottom of the ski resort, they don't go to top only accessible by ski lift, walking or bmx ;)

I agree with you, I do manual focus most of time whatever camera I use ;) 645D has some AF difficulties mainly when weather is not perfectly clear !

and the AF, the one of D800 is far more efficient than the one of 645D on tricky areas such as landscape ;)

Thanks Ryan, I guess you are right for process to find best value. In the meantime Pentax answered me and told I should use lens between f/5.6 and f/11 to get best results of this lens, so I'll use it at f/11 I think for panorama to get the best for it :)

Hi,
I'm owner of 55mm/f2.8 lens that I want to use for shooting panoramas. So I need to use at least f/8 but I'd like to know which aperture gives best result with this specific lens ? I have not been able to find detailed reviews on internet or here in forum of that lens to be able to know which aperture gives best result with that lens :( it'll be used with 645D :)

oui ce qui me fait peur parce que du coup je pense que je le trouverais pas en dessous du prix officiel :hmm:
Dans ce cas je le commande chez Amazon c'est encore plus simple et je le fais livrer chez un pote aux us qui me le fera passer ensuite dans un colis banalisé ;)
Effectivement beaucoup moins cher :p en plus ça fera du 25mm en équivalence 24*36 je pense ce qui est la longueur de focale que j'ai l'habitude d'utiliser pour shooter mes panoramas :) Par contre personne ne l'a cet objectif, à croire qu'il existe plus ! Amazon US n'en a pas et B&H le connait pas :eek:

Je m'intéresse au grand angle pour mon 645D. Malheureusement j'ai beaucoup de difficultés à le trouver dans des boutiques en ligne pour voir son meilleur prix ! Une adresse à conseiller ?

thanks for the advice, will check second hand offers to find it at good price ;) manual focus is ok, I use manual focus on my D3X as automatic focus is not enough good in my eyes !

Thanks for your input :) 50 000 actuations is not so much, but it's just a recalibration it needs, it's ok, so I think I'll go on it, just need to count all my pennies to pay for it :(and next stepp will be to find a good wide angle to use with it :)

Hi,
One of my very good friend is selling his 645D. I'm thinking to buy it but I'd like some advices about price as I'm unable to find some sort of official quotes for second hand 645D. His unit is in mint conditions, 8800 shots done with it, includes 2 extra batteries, extra corded remote for $8000. Is it a fair price ?
