Thanks for the reassurance. I do think that the switch is a bit flimsy regarding its use. However this does not seem to warrant returning the camera. I wonder if other members have a different experience.

Hi all,
I am new to this great forum and have recently bought a new K-5 with the DA 18-55 AL WR kit zoom.
I noticed that the AF.S / AF.C / MF switch does not have three firm positions, but only has a slight click/stop for each position. Because of this it is easy to put the switch in between the three positions when I have my eye to the viewfinder.
Is this how the switch should function or is the switch on my K-5 defective? I could not find the answer using the search function.
