Hi gang - Just ordered my almost new K-5 today from Ebay - got one with less than 200 shots with the 18-55 WR and 50-200 WR as well as an older 50mm A Prime lens for $1100 (1k after a $100 paypal coupon). So happy! I was debating the Canon 60D and the Nikon D7000 - but...as a former ZX-5n owner - I kept coming back to Pentax. The 60D was about the same price, but the Nikon was a good 20% more - and even if the cameras all were the same price, the K-5 just seemed to be as good and more often BETTER than both of those models in a lot of categories. I especially liked the ruggedness of the body and it's size - not in your face like so many other DSLRs but still with tons of amazing features. So I made my choice and can't wait for it to arrive.
One question I do have is that the other brands, no doubt due to their popularity, have many books written about how to get used to them - how to learn them in plain newbie language. It seems the K-5 does not have any. I did find an ebook available though. Do you all have any recommendations?
Thanks - and I'm thrilled at being a new member of this community!
