Hi thanks for the welcome I just love lanscape photograpyh moody lighting and all the other for ever changing types of light. I also enjoy candid photography and very seldom seldom use flash. I mostly go treking in Switzeralnd and a lot in England Wales Lake district, I have also been to Base camp Mount Everest

I have had a Pentax K5 for about a month now and I love it. I started my photography back in the early eighties with a Minolta XD7 and moved with them to Sony. I had several of there cameras ending up with an A77 and selling my A580, one reason I changed was because it is moisture proof, as I like trekking. For the start I was pleased with it but the more I used it, the less pleased I became, picture quality my main disappointment. I found it to be good in good lighting conditions and not very good in anything but. I kicked myself for selling my A580 and now it seems Sony are going the electronic viewfinder way I decided to look elsewhere. I looked at the Nikon D7000 was not that impressed with the build quality, never been a Canon fan. So I took the plunge and ordered a Pentax K5 with a Tamron 17 - 50 and I am very very pleased.
