If there is true that they will produce "digital back" for Pentax 645 and 6x7, I will buy it without any consideration ^_^

Never lend your 645D out

It is depends on who we are going to lend our stuff for. You must know what "type" your friend is when he borrow something. I have a friend who never care about camera/stuff that not his own and he "treats" them very un-carefully when he borrow from other.

You know, money sometime is not important, but when we lend our camera to a friend and we know he will not careful with them, better do not lend out. Because camera can be fixed but friendship and respect is lost is more important !

6x7 newbie - simple operational question

Look like tuco answer your question about B problem, even I do not know Pentax 6x7 has that function !

About the levelling, it looks weird. The Pentax 6x7 non-MLU I am have, you can level the trigger always, but when the shutter curtain is rolled (as it is ready for one shot) you can level the trigger as many time as you like, but it is loose and definitely the film roll could not be pull !

Full frame vs Pentax 647 medium format

Full-Frame cant match medium format. Just basic calculate:

Full-Frame size : 36 x 24 = 864
Medium size : 60 x 45 = 2700 (3.125 larger than full-frame)
70 x 60 = 4200 (4.86 larger than full-frame)

So you have the answer ? :-D

Today I tried to extend the hood and tried some test and the problem is solved. But because I use 55mm and 75mm lens and if in the future I have 35mm lens, the hood can make vignette, so.....re-spray the adapter looks completely the perfect solution ? So I need to spray the inside of the adapter, right ?

Your idea of the reflection from aperture blades looks quite a reasonable, but....why there is fine if I use my hand to extend the hood ? (Like over 10cm hood from the lens)

[HELP] PROBLEMS 645 lens with K-5 !!!

Hello everyone. I just bought a Pentax 645 and 3 lens 75/2.8, 55/2.8 and 150/2.8 and I am please with the performance of them.

But the problem is when I shot 645 lens with my Pentax K-5, use third-party adapter I bought from Ebay (45$), the problem happens that the image is highly sensitive with bright. With the largest aperture 2.8, there is flare if there is strong light in the background, but in normal it works so so even I have hood.

Real problems is when the aperture is set from next f stop, start from f4 and the image is unusable, the following picture will describe it more clearly:

55/2.8 at f2.8

55/2.8 at f4

------------------

55/2.8 at f2.8

55/2.8 at f4

------------------

I do many test at home and it show clearly that when the aperture is not 2.8, the largest, the picture will always get that center bright, even in my room with a diffused light from windows.

I also understand that if I use a long hood (I use my hand to extend the length of the hood) the bright at the center disappears. I do not know what happens there and do you have this problem as I am having ? Even in f2.8, the picture usually lose many contrast if shot outside. Or the problem is I am using a cheap adapter ??? HELP ME PLEASE !!!

UPDATED: Today I go out with Pentax K-5 and 645-75/2.8. I shot always at 2.8 and the problem still there.

The center bright appear clearly even in f2.8 and with hood around 4cm. We all see contrast is terrible here.

In the next picture, I tried to use hand to extend hood with same f2.8. The contrast definitely better and there is no center bright at all !

Some pictures are very good, no problem with the center bright and some pictures have problem, I really cannot understand. I hope someone have experience use 645 lens in D-SLR can help me...

Pentax lens in Czech is uncommon (Like everywhere in the world :-D), you can find old lens for Pentax and M42 (M42 is very common :-D) at Mustek (Metro B). The shop name is FOTOSKODA, very famous photography shop in Prague. Their website is fotoskoda.cz

Here is the link you can see the current Pentax film lens they are having: Centrum Foto
And here is the modern Pentax lens they are having: Centrum Foto

Dear everyone,

I really want to buy a super wide lens in near future and I need your suggestion. My requirement for that lens, beside the IQ (definitely) is Support full-frame if possible Because I will use it in my Pentax film AF body beside my K-5. I do not know which super wide lens is supported full-frame as my choose are those lens:

+ Pentax 12-24
+ Sigma 8-16 (But it is HSM only?)
+ Sigma 10-20 (This lens is also HSM only?)
+ Tamron 10-24
+ Some tokina AT-X super wide lens

Could you give me your experience about buying a super wide lens for my K-5 (and also my Pentax AF film body) ? Thank you very much.

Hi everyone ! I think I am gonna to have this one, but I have questions that need your suggest.

1st: Will it fit full-frame Pentax film camera ? I have MZ-50 (and going to have more)
2nd: Does it has screw drive ? If not maybe I will switch to another non-HSM wide lens !

Thank you. Omnis.
