This came over an I wasn't expecting it and didn't have time to change my settings so I went with it the way it was. Fortunately, it didn't drop its pay load.

Thank you for your comment, Michael. With this old lens, the choice for DOF is made easier by virtue of the fact that there is no Auto/Man switch like there is on the old Takumars; it's just so much easier to shoot wide open. Most times, it produces a pleasing, almost-painterly-like bokeh.

The bokeh on the right seems also to "pull" right...
I would look for decentering as well - of course that's just a hunch based on experience with UWAs, you can't judge that based on a single picture where the right part is well out of the plane of focus.
I kinda like the thin DoF here... one could have done as swip and reh321 suggested, but it would have been an entirely different picture. So, a matter of taste in the end.

Very nice! Love the crazy wide angle bokeh on the right.

Same reason I would have perhaps - making DOF deeper. The out-of-focus area starts earlier than my eyes are ready for.

I think the picture is a little underexposed (the snow in the foreground looks grey) so you need to lighten this picture a bit. Next is the sunflare in the upper left corner, you can crop the image a little to get rid of it.
Maybe also you can play a bit with shadows/highlights to get some more detail in the dark parts (the trees)

For me the structure on the right is too vertically centered. I would go with about 1/2 the foreground snow. The flare doesn't bother me if you like it. You do need to fix the grey snow though.
Very nice photo!
