Just as a note, many of you are indicating the rapid shutter firing in cold weather. My event occurred in a quite comfortable studio.

Just had my K3, do the machine gun shutter fire on me in the studio yesterday. Shooting in manual mode because i was using strobes), no grip. Had to turn the camera off and on twice to get it to stop. Continued shooting for another hour without re-occurance, but obviously disconcerting. Can we please make Pentax aware of this in numbers.

Hi all. Anyone ever hear of anything like this? I was doing a studio shoot this weekend with my K3, and at one exposure the shutter just kept firing in rapid succession. I had to turn the camera off (twice) to get in to stop. Obviously this type of thing can happen with any camera, but i have never experienced anything like this before. After turning the camera back on it functioned normally and i continued shooting for about an hour without any issue. Any thoughts on if this was just an anomaly or has anyone heard of shutter issues with the K3. I would hate to send it back as i am quite busy shooting currently and have some video work coming up that i would rather do with this camera rather than my back-up K7.
Thanks, jon Lisbon
