I've got a k-r, the hubby updated the firmware for me a couple weeks ago, and after that it was put away for a few days, ...fast forward to last weekend...we were sitting at Sonic having lunch, he decided to take the camera out and play with it...so he's snapping away and all of the sudden i hear a different kind of noise come from the camera..and my jaw immediately drops..the mirror is going haywire!...flipping dozens of times back to back with out the camera even being touched...so he's thinking whoa...what the hell...turns it off and puts it away as i told him...k nice you just broke my first and only camera i've ever been able to afford just put the damn thing away, he says he'll pay to have it fixed...so a week goes by...once or twice i took it out and turned it on to see if it was just having a crazy moment..but i turn it on..again the mirror is going crazy...as soon as it does i turn it off and put it away...last night i'm taking pics, it starts acting up and he asks if i've formatted the memory card since updating the firmware...no. i thought he did it for me..so i turn it off...format the mem. card, and the camera as well...and find the 1.13 firmware update, reinstall the 1.13...and its STILL doing it....when you turn it off now the mirror flips once...before the 1.14 update i've NEVER had a problem with the camera...its past its 1 yr mark, and i know shipping it to be repaired wont be cheap..maybe...any one have any help? i'm at wits end...i'm deff not made of money..and i can't find any thing on youtube for help..i'm stressed beyond belief over this...and sorry this post is just 1 huge run-on sentence lol...

i guess i have to post a few times before i can contact a seller about his camera. so hi i'm amber and i just bought a pentax rz18 and i'm only semi happy with it i also have a kodak ...some thing...i don't remember b/c i really don't like it either lol..before those 2..i was an olympus fan..but kinda grew out of that phase..i've been into point and shoot cameras since having my daughter 10 months ago now i'm looking into a dslr as my bf has 2 and is steering me towards them as i LOVE taking pictures...good quality pictures..
