Beautiful building indeed, sadly there's no angle (short of using a boat) to hide the building behind.

When I used an OpTech strap and lugs on my 6x7 I always zip-tied the quick connectors of the plastic snap buckles together, I didn't trust them to hold.
I later went back to the original Pentax strap and lugs.

The flange distance (and 645-67 adapter thickness) affect what will be in focus - you would expect this to affect both the optical and AF focus systems. As you focus the lens this compensates for these (although minimum & infinity focus distances might change).
The 67 105/2.4 is double the focal length and somewhat faster than the 45 or 55. It is more susceptible to focus errors and more likely to show up issues with the split-image focus screen (correct position, thickness, split-image prisms etc.).

I haven't used the Fujis but another layer of glass is another plane where dust, scratches, moisture or condensation can gather and cleaning the sensor is a lot harder...

Having had a look, there are 12 lenses, of these four are HCD and are only suitable to cover 36x48. Two of these are the 24 & 28, the widest FF 645 option is the 35mm. Not a massive improvement over 33x44 really.

My FA20-35/4 is almost always my preferred lens on the K-1, partnered with an FA43 or FA50 if I need slightly longer (but rarely do).

When I bought my D I got lots of stuff for 'free' from the back of my cupboard: Plenty of batteries & chargers courtesy of my K-5 & K-1, an O-GPS1 module from my K-5, an IR remote control from a film P&S I bought 20 years ago, an AF240FT flash from my SFXn (works in manual flash only but provides rear curtain sync on the D) and countless other smaller items. Not to mention several 6x7 lenses and an adapter (I'd forgotten I had). Buying all this new for another system would have cost $$$$ - pushing the choice out of my available budget.

I'm puzzled by this, only the very best 135 format lenses are good enough in the corners of the 135 frame, how likely are you to get good corners when going considerably further away from the corners of the 135 frame? The diagonal of the 135 format is 43mm, that of 44x33 is 55mm - why bother with 100MP if you're skimping by not even using MF optics?

Stunning colours, really surprised how clearly the bands in the rocks are rendered, love the clouds too. ---------- Post added 06-13-21 at 10:43 AM ----------
Beautiful location and an excellent capture.

You need to shoot a blank exposure also by pressing the shutter release.

Is the film rewind button (bottom of the camera stuck in)? It would normally reset when the back is opened, but if stuck (or halfway) it would allow the wind on lever to wind continuously.

I bought a used 645D a couple of years ago when they became 'affordable', in hindsight I should have bought a new one when they were heavily discounted after the Z was released. Used Z's at the time were not 'affordable'.
Lens wise my widest is the 33-55 (mixed reviews but I'm happy). The 28-45 is hugely expensive, big & heavy. Before the 33-55 I appreciated the 45-85 a lot more than I expected. My usual travel lenses are the 33-55 and either the FA80-160 or 67 200 with the SDM 55 if I want WR.
The Fuji wasn't available/affordable at the time, but by sticking with Pentax I saved with accessories. From using the 67 lenses I had, same batteries/chargers, IR remotes, flashguns, the O-GPS1 and there's no need for a $$$ L bracket. All of these were really helpful in establishing my system and making it 'affordable'.

I agree, for perfection you need the Gripstrap FDp too but the body is still sublime without it. Only flaw is not bring able to use normal batteries, but at least the 2CR5s are a lot cheaper than £20 each like back in the day.

If it works I'd buy it at that price, the lens alone is worth half that. I had an A50/2 one my first one but didn't notice any issues with it.
Worth asking whether the grip is lying around in a box somewhere. They have to be removed to fit the winder/motor which is where most get lost.
Biggest concern would be which FA43 would look best - silver or black?

Is this something that's bound to happen with age or are there other factors that might make it yhe luck of the draw? I have two broken K2s I was hoing to sell for parts, now I'm thinking I might keep them for parts in case my K2DMD has issues.

I haven't looked at Velvia chromes for a while, I've just found this one and see what you mean about the greens - it's not even proper Velvia (RVP)!

Thanks for the replies. I will look at panos but think 75mm is a little long for this application. Same for architecture, tall buildings and 75mm on 33x44 probably don't mix very well.

Welcome to the forum, first read this about removing/mounting the TTL prism finder: ADVISORY: Pentax 6x7, 67 METER COUPLING CHAIN AND TTL METER PRISM - PentaxForums.com
The meter should work in both MAN & AUTO on the lens. Auto uses open aperture metering, MAN uses stop down metering - the aperture of the lens is stopped down to the set aperture when MAN is set at all times and not just during the exposure.
The camera uses a different metering circuit for Man & Auto. I'd try removing the lens and prism (see link above) and cleaning all contacts - there is a contact pin at 3 o'clock on the lens mount which moves when the Man/Auto switch changes. Try also to gently excercise the ISO dial to its extremes a few times.
The TTL prism electronics are fairly basic, now very old and often flaky, as such issues like this are not completely unexpected. Many on the forum have given up fighting them and use external meters instead.

Hi All, I have a 6x7 75mm shift lens which I can't see me using much on the 67. I'm likely to sell it on as I can't think of a use for a shift lens of this focal length on the D. I'm trying to think of a use to experiment with it but struggling to get started
Any suggestions?

The DA 10-17 FE is a fish-eye at 10mm on APS-C becoming less fishy as the focal length increases. It is also a fish-eye on FF at 17mm (almost identical to a SMC-K 17mm FE), vignetting more as the focal length is reduced. A projector takes a small image and enlarges it, a lens takes a large image and reduces it.
From what I've seen, most people interested in shift/tilt want wide-angles. Medium format lenses are not really wide-enough for that on smaller formats, the widest sensible 645 lens is 35mm and for 6x7 it's 45mm (both of these are compromised by what is practical to achieve in wide lenses with these image circles). These lenses generally drop off quite markedly (IQ and illumination) towards the edges but make up for it to some degree in the centre - fine if the centre is centred, not so fine if the centre is shifted towards one side or the other (the drop-off then becomes lopsided). Also these lenses were designed for film where purple fringing was never a problem.
