your welcome...we have this greenhouse slash butterfly house here in st louis. its actually part of the state park system its about 90 degrees and100% humidity inside... but it sure is neat inside....................

thanks for the comments...i now have a good tripod now and keep it handy.....these were taken on the mississippi river in portage de sioux and the lady of the rivers shrine ....pretty much right accross the river from grafton illinois......like i said i just got the lens and still getting used to it its a heavy puppy to hang on to...this was the first trip out with it......stratman where abouts in st louis.....howdy neibor

i accept all comments good, bad or indifferent....also new lens and no tripod. hanging lens out the window and pushing the button did not have any gear with me other than the camera and lens.....im sure they will get better...here is another one also handheld about 60 yards away.....

im shooting with a new lens just out of the box sigma 50-500.....K10D witha Bigma bird was at least 60 yards away. manuel focus ......

the best answer is buy as much flash as you can afford...its easy to grow into a better flash than to buy 2 ....
mine is a 540

i have a chance to get a couple of sigma mirror lenses 1) 600mm with filters and 500mm with filters ive been told they are f8 lenses with no ring's ....at a very good price both are spot less with no imperfections.....i realize these lens's are pretty much daylight glass...has anyone had any experience with these lens's

trounce my skills.....hmmmmm sounds like i created my own monster...thats ok if i had to have someone trounce my skills what better person to do it....we went to the butterfly house in chesterfield last weekend on a photo shoot....now in my own defence she did have the better lens....her pics were very nice and quality on more than a few were better than mine...did i mention she had the better lens...................

done.......i should have thought about it before.......you wont see that again....by the way my daughter joined the group....we got her a pentax istd L for christmas ......she is quite a photographer...as soon as we figure it out we'll post some pics ...her screen name is alleycat 8787 this is my daughter so be nice......

hi everybody.....started in photography around 77 with a minolta xg7 then got a pentax k1000 that i still have and it works perfect.....i also own a istL , a k100d and a k10d way to much glass to list. into digital macro just bought a pentax100mm macro f2.6. and bought a 10-17mm f2.8 pentax recently for the k10d two very nice lenses......
