If Pentax does not lower the prices; I'll have no choice but to switch to another brand.

I had hoped to use my K5 for video b-roll, but alas, it doe not do it for me. First I need auto-focus which the k5 seems to be devoid of. Secondly, it goes from light to dark the whole time I'm shooting video. I'm posting this in hope that someone here can tell me what "I" may be doing wrong. The link below is an example of what I'm saying, shot yesterday at my home.

Thanks! I wish I had, I was so awestruck, (not good for a photographer) that I blew it. But yes, I'm looking so forward to the spring as well. Have you shot it before? Do have any advice for what lens and settings work best for you? If so, I'd be grateful to hear it.

Hi lmd91343,
I'm a newbie at HDR. But using it often in order to get better at it. I SAW the Milky Way there on our way back from L.A. a few weeks ago. I then pestered my boyfriend until he agreed to take me back. lol!!! He had more fun than me once we got there. The first photo is at "The Romero Visitors Center" which is on the eastbound side of 152. Here is the link: Recreation, Locations

We spent an afternoon here waiting for the sun to go down. The reason for the trip was to try and shoot the Milky Way. You can see a few of the Draconid meteors on one of the Milky Way photos. These are just a few of what we came back with. I edit in a HDR program.

Greetings,

Hope all is well. I'm having a time trying to upload my Pentax day photos. I created an album under misc, then tried to upload using the URL, it's not giving me any more options. Must I donate more in order to submit my photos? Thanks, please advise.

Hi ChatMerchant!
WOW! What a gorgeous shot! I'm some what new to Silicon Valley and am looking for a spot to record sunrise and sunsets. I want both stills and timelapse, can you suggest any good spots for this? If so, please send me screen-shots of the places on Google maps. We are happy to share our juicy finds as well, starting with The Black Chasm Cave in Volcano Ca. It's well lit for low light photography, so just take your Penny and have fun. You'll see some spectacular scenery on the way as well. Here an interesting tree truck shoot on my college campus.

Hi,
Yep! I plan to visit the GG Bridge again with my Penny! (That's my cameras name) I didn't get the lens you mentioned, I brought it body only and rented some prime lenses. I did buy two wonderful used lenses from eBay. A 35-85mm and a 50mm, cheap but excellent condition. Yesterday I photographed my first bee! I simply LOVE this camera and can't wait to really learn it's magic. Please enjoy yesterday's shoot.

Thank you! I took it out today and failed miserably. But I'm the first to admit how new I am to the process. I'm going back out this afternoon and try again.

I'm new here, new to my Pentax and new to photography also. I've been fascinated by capturing images all of my life. Now, I hope to finally understand what I'm doing. I've had my Pentax K5 for less than a week, and I've posted the very first day out with her. Thanks for having me on board!
Peace,
WoodStockGranny
