Got my test roll back from North Coast, here's a couple of shots. K1000 SE, 135mm f/3.5, Fuji Pro 400H. :) |

Now, is the yellowish tint an Electro 35 trait? I seem to recall my GSN doing a little bit of "antiquing" to my photos as well.

Haha, yeah, figured I'd take advantage of wife-baby nap time. :)
It's a bit strange, after shooting digital for several years, to have to wait to see the results. I had forgotten that this used to be normal. Definitely looking forward to it, though.

Took my K-1000 (the one without the funky focusing screen) and 135mm f/3.5. Probably send the roll out to north coast tomorrow. Here's hoping everything comes back good. one way or another, I should probably send it along with the other one for a good scrubbing and once-over.

Here's one from circa 2007. . . Pentax K1000, 50mm f/2, Fuji Superia 400 iirc. Oh yeah, no battery, so I guessed on the metering :p |

Gotcha, thanks for the info! Was kinda figuring on sending it off to him next time I had some spare cash. Then I can run one K1000 color, and one B&W :D

Like this? I guess I just need to pull it out of the box and send it in for a good servicing. It's an otherwise fully functional body :) |

This here is a picture through the eyepiece of my other K1000. What say you? Fungus, or prism crap-out? And how, if at all, would this get fixed? IIRC, this one needed a light seal anyway. And it's not the lens, the lens is clear. |

The camera is fairly clean; I guess I'll see if the light seal is still good when I get done with the current roll of film. It was the last time I used it, but that was several years ago and it's been in a box since then. The lens is in really good shape. Got that one from KEH (EX+), I love their grading system. :)

I like the orange!
Here's my Ebay special K1000 with newly acquired 135mm f/3.5 lens. Nothin' special, but it works :) |

Well, I don't often get time to do "serious" photography, but when I do, I like to play with my k1000.
I've mostly been playing with digital for the past couple of years with my Canon 350d, but wanted to start up with film again. I know enough about computers to know that permanent storage is anything but, so in addition to the RAID server and the backups, I thought it would be a good idea to capture at least some of these memories to a medium with a track record longer than a couple of years.
Found these forums trying to learn a little more about my camera, so I joined up to add it to the database.
