following... I struggle with greens also. I have noticed when the sun is shining and making the green look more yellow, I hardly ever like the photo (my own). When I take photos on a cloudy day as opposed to a sunny day they are always much better - but when there is a lot of grass around the subject (especially with sun) I find it difficult sometimes to prevent the subjects from having a greenish cast to their skin.

Someone requested to see a couple more of these. I rented a lens, and was just playing around with my friend who was a great model. Open to criticism but I'm far from a professional and I don't pretend to be anything I'm not, so be nice lol. It was the middle of the day and the sun was either crazy bright or behind the cloud for a few moments of better lighting, so the lighting is a little different depending on the photo. :) |

May I ask, was there a lot of noise in the original photos, did you use noise reduction software of any kind? When I try to take photos of PEOPLE above 400ISO the noise usually renders the photos pretty much useless in my opinion, even with my editing software, but that is using JPG and not RAW, do you find noise is better with RAW, or more easily edited out in RAW? Great photos!!

Thanks for all the great suggestions everyone! I am going to be referring back to this thread for a long time to come!! :) And RBEFLY - I have been obsessed with macro photography for years already with my little cameras!!! I have a CHEAP screw-on macro attachment that I've been playing around with, but I know when I get a real macro lens NO ONE is going to want to take a walk with me anymore! (unless they leave me behind... ) hehe..

I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this in, but I tried my first experiment with longer exposures and just wanted to share :)
All were done at ISO 200 (although I think it probably should have been at 100). Pentax K-5 with M 50mm f1.7 lens. :)
