Actually I mean the actual LCD. But it is also interesting for me that there exists a outer LCD cover? Does it mean there is a glass pane in front of the actual LCD that can be changed?
To change that outer LCD cover I have to pry the frame?

The LCD on my Pentax K-r has been broken. As I have no warranty I want to change it by myself.
I found a video at
Dismantling K100D :)
But unfortunately the dismantling of the K-r is different. I allready removed the top and the bottom but the back - cover cannot be removed. Have heard that the whole plastic shell has to be removed?
Has anybody dismantled a K-R or K-X?

Thanks a lot for your idea. Unfortunately I havent found videos on youtube. On all videos I have found the back can be flapped after the top and bottom cover has been removed- but there is no video explicitely for the k-r or k-x. Maybe you are right and the whole plastic shell has to come off. Will try.

Hi,
The LCD on my Pentax K-r is broken. As I have seen there are some dealers where I can sell such an LCD.
But before I buy that LCD, I wonder how to change it. So I begann to search for an instruction. I found a video at

But it is a k100d.
When I make that steps on the k-r I can open the top and I can open the bottom, but the back - where the lcd is - cannot be moved!
Has anybody opened a k-r. Where is the trick to remove the back of a k-r?
