The adobe DNG converter can convert from the camera dng to a dng that aperture can understand. Although aperture does not have k3 specific profiles yet, this workaround works pretty well for me. I posted some images earlier in the thread.

Here is what my DA 20-40 looks like at 40mm f/4

The DA 20-40 isn't bad, but I think my DA 35 and FA 31 are much better than it in terms of sharpness. I do quite like the rendering and the bokeh of the DA 20-40. Perhaps more so than the DA 35. It feels a lot like the FA 31.

Hi Guys,
Got my DA 20-40 a couple of days ago. First impressions, although slightly bigger than the FA31, the lens feels very light. It does not seem to have that cold metallic feel of the other limiteds.
Haven't got a chance to really take it out for a spin. Took some initial pictures. The color, contrast and rendering seem like my other limiteds.
Took some backyard pictures to measure sharpness against my other lenses. Tested against the DA21, FA31, FA43 and the DA* 16-50. Shot on tripod. My copy seems to have focus issues at 20mm.
Reproducing here in case someone finds this useful. I intend to do some more real world testing this weekend.

As the sun set behind the hills of Tehachapi on California Highway 58, the windmill farm created a dramatic foreground against the sky. Three of these pictures were taken seconds apart from each other, but the shift in hue is dramatic. K5 IIs, 50-135 SDM

New to Pentax and K5. Got the DA15, DA21, DA40 and DA70.
The DA15 is just awesome for street shooting and landscapes:
